Enjoy Inn at the Crossroads Bed & Breakfast, our historic Charlottesville Inn located at the Crossroads, just ten minutes to Monticello, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Skyline Drive and the Appalachian Trail. The Inn was built to serve those traveling between the Shenandoah Valley and the James River.

Summer Kitchen Cottage

The newest building on the property, the Summer Kitchen was built in 1824. It has a living room with kitchenette downstair. Full bath and queen bed upstairs. It has it's own deck and is very private but only 20 feet from the main Inn. It is the only building on site where children are allowed to stay. Available by the day or week.

The Dining Room

Adapted from the original dry kitchen and the former "in the building" stables, the current dining room is spacious and comfortable. Seats 16 for breakfast or up to 24 for meetings.

The Dabney Carr Room

Sleep where four US Presidents have dined. The Inn's former dining room, now a queen room with private bath, has hosted Jefferson, Van Buren and both Roosevelts on visits to the Inn.

The Tavernkeeper's Suite

The former Tavern and Innkeepers Quarters have been combined to form a wonderful 525 square foot suite with king bed and full bath. Sleep in the room where Franklin Rossevelt prepared for his 1936 speech given from the porch of the Inn. Relax in the living room while imagining what it was like for the innkeeper, his wife and their 16 children to live there from 1820 through the Civil War.

The Americana Suite

Named for the 10 framed patriotic posters from 1914 - 1921 in this large open suite. It has a living room with working fireplace, king bedroom and private bath with tub/shower. This large open suite is the most private room in the Inn. Mountain view from the living room and Summer Kitchen and gazebo view from the bedroom.

Sarah Gillocke

Although details of her life are lost to history, this room is named Sarah Gillocke in honor of the woman receiving the largest monetary dispursements in the 1852 daybook. Decorated with framed puzzles from the 1930's and book illustrations of the 1940's and 1950's, the room has a queen bed and a private bathroom with shower. Overlooks the kiwi and grape arbor and has a gazebo view.

Mary Sutherland

Named for the wife of the mid-nineteenth century Innkeeper, the Mary Sutherland room has queen bed and a private bath with shower. Bright and sunny, with glorious sunsets. This room faces south and has farm and mountain views.
