At Crump's Mountain Cottage nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains in Amherst, VA away from people and phones you are finally able to enjoy the panoramic views of the pastoral valley and surrounding mountains from your own private cottage. Central Virginia is home to many historic sites such as Monticello, Poplar Forest, Ash Lawn, Appomattox Park and the World War II D-Day monument, call within an easy drive from the cottage.
This is a remote, relaxing and revitalizing cottage modernly and comfortably furnished located near the end of a state maintained road and then up the mountain. Being in a place surrounded by life and nature is a peace like no other. The cabin is ideal for birders, hikers, mountain bikers, nature lovers, stargazers, and anyone seeking isolation and solitude. Marvel at the bright star studded sky! Thrill at the sight of deer and the sound of turkey. A small fishpond is on site, three nearby lakes, and several mountain streams for those who like to fish. We are pet-friendly. No smoking is allowed inside the cottage. |
