We only booked 1 night and when we got there we arranged another night in their B & B. Their hospitality and warmness was wonderful. They welcome you into their home and make you feel like a special guest. Many other places should take a look at this concept. Enjoyed our stay and definately stay again.

We stayed at the Woodstocker for a quiet weekend away and were pleasantly surprised by both the Inn and the town of Woodstock. Agreeing with previous posts, it was nice to stay in a B&B that was not all quilts and lace - it had more of a boutique feel which is an especially nice touch in the country. The Inn was clean, breakfast was delicious and David and Dora were charming and gracious hosts. We will definitely be back in Woodstock in the future and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

We thank these good folks for taking the time to express a complimentary opinion. We hope our boutique 'green' inn can convert more folks to accept 21st century style can be found in bed & breakfast accommodation. We strive to show that Vermont has more to offer than quilts, lace and maple syrup on your pancakes!

Brilliant! Great location in town, and snazzy decor, absolutely fantastic innkeepers, and lovely food, books, music, and ideal parking. Cant recommend it enough if you are traveling without kids.

We loved the Woodstocker Inn & would recommend it to anyone traveling to VT, skiing at Killington, etc...The owners were gracious and the home was comfy cozy with loads of extras you never see including candy everywhere, a library fully stocked with comfy chairs (where I lounged all night), a kitchen fully stocked for a midnight snack (coffee, teas, baked goods, kettle, micro, real china and glasses), ice, etc....We've been in Woodstock many times and stayed at the WoodStock Inn, which is much pricier, but I would still go back to the Woodstock Inn now. It's green which is even an added plus. They think of everything & their puppy dog is so cute!!

Response
Why thank you for the compliments, but one small correction.....we are positively microwave unfriendly and do not have one in the entire inn. Stanley is happy to bask in her own low key glory, for she is an old lady rescue hound who takes life nice and easy!

We loved The Woodstocker. It was very relaxing yet there was plenty of activity in the Woodstock area. The innkeepers were around whenever we needed them and gave great advice. We will stay again very soon!

If you are looking for a restful, peaceful, and joy-filled weekend, go to the Woodstocker! The town itself is idyllic and has so many wonderful options for spending your time but if you stay at the Woodstocker, you are going to be tempted never to leave the inn. The inkeepers make you feel so welcome from the get-go and no detail is overlooked. I have stayed at many B&B's but have never felt this comfortable. They're there when you need them but not breathing down your neck like at other places I've stayed. I especially loved the little snack kitchen and library that are open to guests at all hours. The rooms were delightful, the food delicious, and the whole climate of the inn just lovely! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

We are always pleased when we get the balance between our guests needs for us to be present, and the need for their privacy, right. We also hope that all visitors find our relaxed but indulgent style to be warm and welcoming. As other guests have described the inn....it is 'chillaxed' and 'inn-different' and we delight in not just being another New England Bed & Breakfast. Thank you for your kind comments. We stayed at the Woodstocker to celebrate our first anniversary, and were extremely pleased with the comfy and welcoming atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised when David upgraded us to the Westminster Room, and we enjoyed the dual tubs, fluffy comforter and organic bath products! Breakfast the next morning was delicious - all ingredients from local sources. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

We stayed in the Winchester room at the Woodstocker for 2 nights in June 2008 for a wedding. The entire inn had been reserved by the bride and groom for their closest friends, so the inn felt like a big house. In short, I cannot say enough good things about the Woodstocker. The owners, David and Dora, are friendly, warm, and professional. The inn's rooms are all simply and beautifully decorated, with a truly artistic eye for color and attention to detail with the lighting and the bathrooms in particular. The breakfast is delicious, the dining room is bright and welcoming, the library is cozy, and the kitchen -- where guests can help themselves to drinks and snacks anytime -- is a very nice feature. The bed is possibly the most comfortable we've ever slept in. We loved the sheets, the duvet, and the pillows. The towels are thick and plush, and the bathrobes are very comfortable. All of the products in the bathrooms are organic, and they smelled wonderful. There are fresh flowers, candy, and interesting magazines in each room. For the quality of the accommodation, the price we paid, $250, is a real bargain (and some of the rooms are as low as $120). I've stayed at far more expensive hotels that were not as clean, not as comfortable, and not as artistically interesting; each room is unique, with its own character, and they all feel very contemporary. David and Dora are wonderful and we enjoyed talking to them. My husband and I are already trying to figure out how we can get back up to the Woodstocker to stay for a longer time.

My husband and I have stayed at the Woodstocker for the past two years while in the area to run in a road race. We found the inn somewhat by chance on line and consider ourselves lucky to have stumbled upon the Woodstocker. The rooms are large and extremely clean and well-maintained. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms in each of the rooms in which we stayed were unique, fun and thoughtfully laid out. (I know this seems like high praise for bathrooms--you'll understand the rave if you see them. There are pictures on line but they do not really do the space justice.) Dora and David were terrific on both visits, each time greeting us promptly and showing us around, offering an early breakfast suitable to our run and this past year, even offering to let us come back and shower at the inn past what would ordinarily have been check-out time. We highly recommend The Woodstocker and will certainly stay there again when in the Woodstock area.

We just came back from a college family weekend in west New Hampshire. We decided to stay across the Connecticut River in Woodstock, Vermont and are very glad we did. We stayed at the Woodstocker Inn, just around the corner from the town's main square. Four things made our stay a great experience. First, the innkeepers, Dora and David, are affable, kind, helpful, and eager to make your stay comfortable. Second, the food, fresh from local organic farms to your table and hand-prepared by the innkeepers, tasted wonderful. We particularly liked the orange/grapefruit marmalade, hand-prepared by our innkeepers, and the tart cherry compote. The excellent marmalade at Lou Mitchell's in my home town of Chicago has nothing on the offering at the Woodstocker. Third, Woodstock itself is beautiful, nestled in rolling hills that warm your heart even on the kind of rainy days that greeted us when we arrived. Fourth, the Woodstocker Inn is clean. The Inn has a "no shoes" policy. To us, that was a good sign. Nothing will ruin our visit faster than poor hygienic conditions. The Inn is in an old New England house with some rustic features, so one must be ready for an old home feel rather than a gleaming palace feel, but the ambience is entirely appropriate for the hills of Vermont. We are looking for a good excuse to go back to Vermont and visit the Woodstocker Inn again.

A return visit to the Woodstocker. A really relaxing visit as we stayed in the Richmond Suite with its wonderful quirky bathroom complete with spa bath, huge comfy bed and excellent music/entertainment system. Only ventured out to enjoy delicious breakfasts and visiting delightful town, local micro breweries and skiing at Suicide Six. Can really recommend this Inn and the hosts couldn't be more accommodating. We'll go back!

The Woodstocker Inn is a great place to stay. Dora and David (and Stanly their dog), the innkeepers, are warm and friendly, our room was spacious and sunny, and the location is great -- a nice walk to town. The breakfast was wonderful, and coffee, tea, and snacks are available at all times. We will definitely stay there again.

The Woodstocker Inn is a classic Vermont Inn with the style turned up a notch or two. Our room was spacious and well appointed with an exceptional bathroom--two large comfortable tubs--and wonderful attention to details. Dora and David, the innkeepers, are charming hosts, providing warm hospitality, but also respecting privacy. Breakfast was perfect, consisting of homemade granola, homemade fruit compote, organic yogurt, and cooked-to-order hot breakfast foods all sourced from local purveyors. Fresh-brewed coffee is served in individual French press pots. The Inn is within walking distance of Woodstock's main street and also Mt. Tom's trail head for those looking for a nice afternoon's hike. Overall, the Woodstock Inn is definitely worth the trip. And, of course, Stanley, the requisite canine, only adds to the charm.

My husband and I will definitely go there again and again! It was quaint but different, and was colorfully painted with ecclectic decor. David and Dora were so friendly and welcoming. They were always so available if we had questions about things to do or places to eat. It was a picturesque weekend and just what we were looking for.

As a New Yorker, I have found it most distressing when, skipping town for a "breather", to then eagerly arrive in the desired, otherwise refreshing surroundings, only to end up enduring musty carpets, dusty drapes, harsh chemical "cleansers" , and so -called air "fresheners" in a hotel or b&b. Manhattan bus fumes notwithstanding, I've ended up having to flee a chemically sickening "vacation" to restore my lungs inside our consciously eco-friendly apartment on Broadway! Whether visiting a city or the countryside, the notion of "green" lodgings is a godsend for me, as, of course, it is for our planet. We arrived at The Woodstocker strained and exhausted from a long stretch of care giving for our respective elderly parents, who had endured simultaneous health crises. Especially under these circumstances, what a relief it was to be embraced as regular folks who are fully human, rather than treated coolly as "anti-family" because we happen to be a same-sex couple---of almost 25 years, no less! We don't yet have marriage equality, but no one can stop us from enjoying as many honeymoons as we can.The Woodstocker is a safe, clean, delightful, whimsical, delicious and inviting haven for all peace-loving people of good will. Dora, David, and furry Stanley are gifted hosts: helpful, intelligent and available, yet not hovering (except, perhaps, sweetiepie Stanley when she is eager to be petted and patted at length!) Unless you are so unfortunate as to be allergic to dogs, go to the Woodstocker, and breathe!

Great place. Very convenient to activities. Can walk to town. Inn keepers are very interesting and funny. Have stayed there before.

Wonderful! The room was amazing & really suited our tastes and style. We took advantage of every amenity. David & Dora (and Stanley of course)made us feel very welcome and comfortable, as if we were visiting friends.

We made the long drive from New York City to Woodstock to celebrate our anniversary. From the minute we arrived (David waited up for our late arrival to show us around the home and bring our luggage to our room) to our departure (it felt like leaving family) our weekend was superb. David and Dora are caring and entertaining innkeepers and Stanley is an adorable addition! Even though we only had two days away, we felt as rested as if we had been away for much longer! Our room (Westminster) was gorgeous - two bath tubs and the breakfasts were wonderful!

Lovely hosts--wish we'd spent more time there so we could have had more time to chat. Access to a kitchenette for tea and snacks was a great touch and there's a cozy library in which to relax. Rooms were spacious. The Chester room on the front of the house is not for light sleepers (traffic noise) but the innkeepers kindly supply earplugs. Otherwise the room was great and there's a generous English breakfast to start the day off right.

Don't miss the Woodstocker if you are anywhere in the vicinity! The location is great, a stone's throw from the village and right on the path leading to some fabulous mountain trails. The inn itself is cozy, homely and welcoming with an outstanding library where one can sip tea all afternoon and peruse the shelves. Great little kitchen attached where good quality coffee and tea are available, not to mention a few slices of delicious cake. Breakfast is outstanding. homemade granola and fruit compote which are delicious as well as a hot breakfast. We were so impressed by the breakfast honestly. The rooms are clean, bright and equipped with all the comforts. Finally the hospitality of David and Dora makes you feel that you are genuinely as welcome as close friends of theirs and nothing is too much trouble. A real gem of a find!

The Innkeepers are wonderful and put so much thought into creating a positive experience for each guest. The delicious breakfasts, the comfortable beds and the "really cool" bathrooms are right on the mark. The Woodstocker Inn succeeds in blending laid-back, casual comfort and modern luxury. A fun place to stay and enjoy all Woodstock has to offer!
