We pride ourselves on being organic "foodies".

Daisy Doo our rescue wheaten terrier joined the team in May 2009. Sadly dear old Stanley passed away in October 2008.

We are also famous for our specially produced unique Woodstocker banger....a sausage of repute!

We loved the mix of new and old at this eclectic bed and breakfast. Dora was a wonderful host and served a delicious English breakfast with many organic and local options. It was an easy walk to Woodstock and to climb Mount Tom. We would highly recommend this B&B and hope to stay there again!

We traveled with three other couples for a weekend getaway to the Woodstocker Inn. It was wonderful. Dora greeted us warmly and gave us helpful suggestions for restaurants and activities. The building itself is spotless and cheerful, with plenty of room for gathering and relaxing. We loved browsing in the library, which is filled with a fascinating selection of books and magazines. Our rooms were attractive and well-appointed, with really luxurious bathrooms. Breakfast was delicious and huge. Our server, Chris, made the meal great fun. Our group doesn't always agree on everything, but we all agreed that a return visit is warranted.

I am always a little iffy about B&Bs. I love my privacy and peace and quite so staying on someone's turf can sometimes be a little trying for me. Well, the Woodstocker Inn makes me want to always stay at B&Bs all the time. The home is lovely, clean and comfortable. No cheesy or scary decorations or collections. A fascinating and endless library with so many options - I could have snuggled into a chair and read books for a month straight. The hosts are fantastic, friendly and just around enough. Their dog, Dora, is fantastic. She is never in your face but friendly enough to say hi! And she is hypoallergenic! I loved everything about my stay at the Woodstocker including the organic materials (bedding! and soaps and just about everything), the amazing and delicious food, the beautiful grounds, the helpful hints from the owners, the environmentally conscious efforts of the owners, the goodie kitchenette with homemade fruit bread, teas and coffees, the other guests (all lovely), the location to town, and the ambiance of the whole place. You can't go wrong staying at the Woodstocker Inn - it is better than a hotel and just as comfy (if not comfier) than your own home.

A hip and modern inn with gracious hosts. Perfect place to stay for a relaxing weekend getaway as a couple. The european flair breakfast is amazingly good. Its also within walking distance of the village restaurants and shops.

Generous and accommodating hosts. Quiet and cozy rooms. Aesthetically pleasing! A fireplace with burning logs in the winter in Vermont. A huge library for guests to browse. And delicious breakfasts, made to order.

Response
We thank these kind folks for their comments, and we have no wish to appear impertinent....but we deduce they may not have wished to award the inn 1 star overall for all aspects of their stay?

This is our THIRD visit to the Woodstocker. This time we brought our daughter and her boyfriend to share in what is a truly delightful experience. Each room at the inn is different. The entire inn is pristine (which is one of the reasons that you leave your shoes in the entry and wear your slippers or use the slippers provided), the sheets are multi-count (no cheap scratchy over-washed linens here!), the bedspreads and pillows are down and even the loveseat has down pillows. I loved our tub and shower. The tub is big...great for a bubble bath. It is so convenient that the water temperature can be controlled. The shower is a delghtful rainfall shower...you don't want to leave! The breakfast is included in the overnight charges and it is truly an English brakfast. Made to order - eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, broiled tomatoes or oatmeal with maple syrup and whiskey. I'm gluten intolerant and David and Dora actually had noted this from our previous stay and had gluten-free bagels ready for me. I love the compote and yogurt that is also available for breakfast. All the coffee is French press, which you make yourself. I like to be able to control my caffeine intake! The entire inn is "green" so everything is organic or local. Two more things - the full size candy bars that are everywhere are a nice touch (nice to grab one before you head off for the slopes) and the kitchen for guest use to make tea and hot chocolate and the library are so convenient and comfy. David and Dora do indeed make their guests truly feel like guests in their home. They are absolutely wonderful hosts and their dog, Daisy-Doo is a peach!

Simply superb: very thoughtfully organized for guests, very nice touches like chocolate available (!) at all times, lovely hosts, great dog. All in all the best B and B stay I've ever had, and I loved the decor. Felt a bit like a weekend in UK, what could be better.

We chose the Woodstocker Inn primarily because the owners have made particular efforts to create an eco-friendly environment with comfort and flare. I have stayed in many Inns, and often you find very old, musty furniture, rugs and accessories. David and Dora's attempt to update the B&B traditional decor and design to reflect a more contemporary style absolutely lands without sacrificing charm and comfort. This was by far one of the cleanest Inns I have ever stayed in. The "no shoes" policy in the house directly illustrates the innkeepers attentiveness to cleanliness and preservation of their hardwood floors. This is also a very spacious house with many seating areas. We made ourselves at home without feeling intruded upon. David and Dora are friendly without being overbearing, so you can feel as though you have the privacy afforded in a hotel and the coziness of a home. About breakfast, I can understand why some folks are turned off by the European style breakfast that is offered, however these folks are extremely accommodating to your preferences. We asked ahead of time for vegan options, which David was more than happy to accommodate. He prepared a delicious tofu scramble which I have never seen offered before. Additionally, I believe they are willing to simplify menu items, so if you just want eggs and toast, ask for eggs and toast. If you're looking for frozen, "gourmet" apple pancakes that I have been offered at other B&B's, find an IHOP. We'd all do well to stretch our culinary palettes to include LOCALLY SOURCED and ORGANIC ingredients offered at mindful places like the Woodstocker. The only potential downside I would alert others to is that this Inn is not dead center of the little town. It is about a five to 10 minute walk, which we enjoyed, but others may not be thrilled about.

A bit of Britain in VT! As lifelong Anglophiles, we were excited to be staying at this highly recommended Brit-owned inn. As advertised, the full English cooked breakfast was fabulous, and our hosts wonderfully friendly and interesting. Their dog, Daisy Doo, is a sweetheart. Great location. Only complaint was that our room, though large with a large bed, was basically an attic room under the eaves with one tiny window, so it felt overpriced at $200/night (inc. breakfast). Also, the large Batman/Warhol poster, the focal point of the room, is really ugly and depressing. But everything else about our visit was so wonderful that we do plan to return again sometime soon, but this time stay in one of the nicer rooms.

A delightful Inn made even better by the hospitality of the hosts - and friendliness of the dog. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable just like the amply sized rooms and common areas. The decor is eclectic, very London, and there's plenty of space (and books to read) if trapped inside by the weather. The guest kitchen offers more than adequate snacks and drinks and the breakfast was excellent. I would happily stay there again and heartily recommend it to others. N & J, Melbourne, Aus.
