The White House Inn located in Wilmington, Vermont was built as a summer home in 1915 for lumber baron Martin Brown. The magnificent structure has 14 fireplaces, finely crafted French doors and two-storied terraces supported by soaring pillars. Relax in Baxter's Bar where you can enjoy a cocktail while watching the magnificent sunset through the large windows. The inn has 16 guest rooms; each equipped with private bath and furnished with period pieces that cozily suit this New England country hostelry. Thanks to the inn's prize hilltop location, there is a view from every room. The lower level of the inn has been transformed into an invigorating spa, which includes a sauna, and a small, indoor heated swimming pool.
The Mount Snow region has two championship golf courses, Mount Snow and Haystack, as well as the Sitzmark golf course, all within 10 minutes of our lodging. If you enjoy the outdoors, or like to hike Mount Snow Vermont is the place to get out and enjoy the Green Mountains, with hiking trail available at Mount Snow, Haystack Peak, Somerset Reservoir, and the Molly Stark State Park.
