Welcome to Candlelight Bed and Breakfast, your all-season bed and breakfast in Jacksonville, VT. We are located in Southern Vermont in the village of Jacksonville and we would like to welcome you to step back in time into this quaint country-style farm house, built circa 1850.
Wake up to the aroma of fresh baked muffins, and enjoy a full country breakfast in your home away from home, an l850’s fully restored farmhouse nestled in the southern Vermont village of Jacksonville, six miles south of Wilmington. Each room features its own bath and romantic fireplace. Enjoy relaxing on our large wrap around porch or in the gazebo overlooking the pond.
The best place to take advantage of the seasons is here! In the summer enjoy the near by lakes and streams while you go white what rafting, kayaking, fishing or boating. We are located only a short drive to the Green Mountain National Forest and Appalachian Trail System, so you can go riding, hiking or take a nice dirt road mountain drive.
During the colder season we have snowmobile and snowshoe trails located right behind the property and are only minutes away from the Mt. Snow ski area. Located only 4 miles away from the Catamount cross country trail, we look forward to your visit! |

We didn't know how to choose a bed and breakfast based on internet reviews, but we're glad we went with our gut instinct because Pam and Mark were delightful hosts. Even before we arrived, while emailing, we had a good sense about their hospitality. From the moment we walked in, they were so warm and accommodating. They really went out of their way to take care of us as guests. Their house is equipped with plenty of entertainment (Wii, Cable, board games, Sirius XM, etc.) if you just want to hang out. They also have the fire going during all hours which makes for a cozy environment. The bedrooms are huge relative to the price, with TV, private bathroom, and plenty of natural light. Even if you don't plan to spend much time inside, their house is conveniently located at the intersection of Routes 100 and 112, near to plenty of outdoor activities. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with plenty of vegetarian options! Of note, we are a lesbian couple and felt very comfortable in their presence. Pam and Mark are completely committed to being great bed and breakfast hosts. They make a great home away from home; it's a shame our peaceful weekend had to come to an end.

It was an absolutely charming B&B and my husband & I had a wonderful honeymoon there. The fireplace was especially nice, and the hosts were very friendly.

We were completely pleased with our stay. The innkeepers were particularly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the fireplace in the livingroom, and the wood stove in our room.
Lots of winter activities very close by. We went for a one-horse sleigh ride!
