Penny and Dan (the owners) are just amazing! It took a couple of minutes to realize that what we entered was not just a great bed and breakfast, but it was indeed HOME! They, their family and their assistant Jessica are incredible! We arrive on Christmas day and they offered Xmas dinner to all the guests! and it really felt like being with your family! Breakfast is just fabulous and the decoration of each room is impeccable! I Really recommend if you are looking something out of the ordinary and if you want to relax in a cozy, warm, full of love place!

The Inn Victoria is the best bed and breakfast in New England. I recommend it to everyone traveling to Vermont. The owners make you feel like you are part of their family. It exceeds all expectations and is an unforgettable experience that you will always remember. You cant beat the High Teas they have; if they were closer I would send my mom there for the Mothers Day Tea. If I owned a bed and breakfast the Inn Victoria would be the one I would look at as a role model on how to do everything right. It is the best of the best!!!!

By far the best B&B I have been to. I literally left broken hearted, as I did not want to leave the B&B, the innkeepers or VT. Penny, Dan & Jessica are truly some of the nicest people you will encounter during your stay in VT. You have no choice but to stay at the Inn Victoria, as it truly is a top-notch establishment. We booked the Princess Beatrice room because we were on a budget. The room was very cute and cozy with a half a wall separating it from the bathroom. It was an adjustment at first to be so open with my husband, but hey, we are in it for the long run, and we made it through just fine. The bed was probably the MOST comfortable bed I have ever slept in my entire life. The feather pillow topper and amazingly fluffy pillows and 1,500 thread count sheets will make waking up in the morning one of the most difficult things you will have to do while on vacation, but the breakfast makes up for it. Wonderful food, will keep you full well past lunch. And if you are there on a Fri-Sun, you will be full until High Tea Time, which you MUST attend to! Penny makes you feel like a queen! Our first evening in Chester, Dan the "ambassador" gave us an awesome recommendation list on a map, giving us the highlights we'd want to check out whilst in the area. We originally booked 2 nights there, but after our first day, we wanted to extend our stay and spoke with Penny about it. She was happy to do that (as the room was free) and when we checked out, she only charged us 50% the room rate! That just about made me tear up. When we left, we told them we'd be back and received genuine hugs from all three. We will definitely return and recommend that you all do too.

I love staying at B&Bs whenever I can, and the Inn Victoria was BY FAR the best experience I've had at a B&B. Yes, I've had a nicer room elsewhere, though the Princess Beatrice was a lovely and very comfortable room. I've stayed at inns that were outwardly more attractive, though the Inn Victoria has a certain charm to its quaint front porch. Other inns have had a living room area available for guests' use, but the spacious and welcoming living room here just begs to be used. The true difference at the Inn Victoria is not the accommodations. It is the genuine friendliness of the innkeepers, their superb attention to detail, and their incredible food (amazing breakfasts, wonderful high tea, and scrumptious freshly baked desserts available all day long). Dan, Penny, and Jessica go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and special. They are truly amazing people and run the best B&B Iíve ever experienced. If youíre looking for a magnificent place to stay in Vermont, choose the Inn Victoria. You'll be glad you did.

Penny and Dan are the gracious host and hostess in their magnificent victorian B&B. My daughter and I enjoyed a beautiful high tea, expertly presented and prepared. Our room had all the amenities while still maintaining a lovely victorian era feel. Breakfast was a delicious three course original recipe meal. Everything is top drawer, from the fresh cookies in the foyer, to the always available hot and cold beverages. Inn Victorian in the lovely town of Chester Vermont, we look forward to retuning.

This is a treaure to behold. The rooms are large and very nicely complimented. The bathroom had a huge whirlpool bath and was far better than I expected (usually small and barely functional). The Innkeepers, Penny and Dan, are cordial attentive, knowledgable, and out to please. It's in the center of town and a fun place to just sit and do some good old New England Neighboring while sitting on the front porch. Plenty of places to walk to and a great Scottish Pub just down the block. What's not to like about this experience. We celebrated our anniversary and it was a romantic stimulant!

Driving through the quaint little town of Chester you feel as though you've traveled back in time to a place where life was more carefree and and relaxing was almost a priority. The Inn Victoria is just at the end of a block of interlaced small businesses, and stands out from the rest with its cheery yellow exterior. Upon entering the Inn, you are warmly greeted by the fairly new hosts, Penny and Dan, who escort you to your room and then give you a tour of the inn if you have not been a guest before. They are quick to inquire as to any food allergies you might have to ensure breakfast the next morning is a pleasant one and are always at the ready for questions you might have as to dinner location suggestions, places to visit, and happenings around town. They are warm and friendly without being overbearing. They have tea and some type of treat available most afternoons and some evenings they might have some cheese or homemade popcorn at the ready in the living room. The common areas are warm and inviting and the rooms are beautiful and well appointed with down comforters, cozy beds, and fireplaces and flatscreen tvs in most rooms. My husband and I stayed in one of the smaller rooms with a private bath across the hall to which they have just done some updating. We slept as comfortable as if we were at home in our own bed. A three course breakfast of homemade banana bread, mixed berry yogurt parfait with granola, and a wonderful fritatta was served the next morning. It was absolutely chef worthy without being overstated. Also available to guests in the common area are a small refrigerator with sodas and waters, a Keurig coffee/tea express machine, a small laptop for guest use, and a wine library. The wine library was a great amenity as in past travels my husband and I have arrived later in the evening and there were not any stores nearby where we could purchase a bottle of wine. With the wine library, you can choose a bottle on the rack and they only ask that you try to replace it with another bottle prior to your departure so that another guest may have the same privilege. We had dinner at MacLaomainn's Scottish Pub at the recommendation of our hosts and loved the traditional Scottish fare. My husband and I loved everything about this little town and the inn! The only negative to our stay was having to leave! We will definitely return again and look forward to getting to know the hosts of the inn even better.

Inn Victoria is a great bed and breakfast if you want to get away from the stress of life. The first thing you notice when you enter is how nice the place looks. The living room, with all itís furnishings, stained glass lamps, and fireplace looked very inviting, like youíd actually like to sit there, which isnít what you always find at other Inns. The Innkeepers, Penny and Dan, showed us our room and we were instantly impressed with the size of the room and the quality furnishings. The inn is full of antique tables, beds, sideboards, bookcases and lamps that are all quite enjoyable to look at. There was also a nice, red Vermont (surprise) Castings gas fireplace and soaking tub in the room and a private bathroom. During our stay we had a chance to peek into other rooms and would like to stay in each of them upon our return. The rooms must be well insulated, as there were a few other couples in the inn for the weekend and we couldnít hear anyone while in our room. We spent the evenings sitting in the living room talking to Penny and Dan and some of the other guests, late into the evening. I donít typically spend a lot of time doing small talk with people, but the inn is so relaxing, Penny and Dan so enjoyable to talk to, it all just kind of happens and hours tick by. Of course, the Grand Marnier aperitifs near at hand also helped! The breakfasts that were served were by far beyond expectation. Three courses! One morning we had two types of homemade bread (poppy seed and banana), then we were served crepes with pears and blueberries, THEN some sort of puff pastry tart with Gouda cheese and asparagus. Juice and coffee were always topped off and we were stuffed. We laughed later the next day when various couples explained that they only snacked during the early afternoon because they were still full. We found we just skipped lunch and ate an early dinner at one the restaurant within walking distance. We were there only for a weekend, but I can see why staying a week would be much better. We didnít get to see as many of the local sites that we had wished, but that makes it fun to go back and explore some more. Thereís enough to see within walking distance and much more to see at various outlying towns. If you are looking at a place that is quiet, shops and restaurants within walking distance, beautiful views of Vermont scenery, great food, very nice rooms and incredibly comfortable beds, then this is the place to escape to. One night is fun, a weekend is great, but a week is relaxing.
