Forty Putney Road is a comfortable yet elegant inn overlooking the water yet just a short walk to vibrant downtown Brattleboro Vermont. We are not your grandmas B&B. We're beer geeks and have a small pub on site with over 30 local craft beers. Every Saturday night enjoy a craft beer tasting. Every morning we serve a full 2 course gourmet breakfast. Relax in the hot tub, or play a game of pool by the fire. Every room has its own private bathroom. Several rooms have fireplaces. We are on the water and trails and our formal gardens include one of the largest Japanese Maples in the United States. Of course we have free wifi, every room has a flat panel TV, DVD player, complimentary snacks and beverages all day and so much more at Forty Putney Road! |

Forty Putney Road, located in scenic Brattleboro, VT, exceeded our expectations in every way and was an outstanding value. (We received a BnBFinder.com gift certificate as a wedding present.) The charming French Provincial style facility has been lovingly renovated and was chock-full of all kinds of "extras" (such as a complimentary basket of snacks in our guest room and a free one-year subscription to Vermont Life magazine) which immediately made us feel welcome and pampered. Within an hour of our arrival, we walked the property's well-manicured grounds and relaxed in its hot tub. Our room was attractively decorated, meticulously clean, and quiet. The property is within easy walking distance of downtown Brattleboro, which includes several high-end retail shops, galleries, resturants, and cafes. (Eclectic elegance!) Moreover, Amy's two-course gourmet breakfast was the perfect way to start a new day. Thanks to BnBFinder.com for helping us locate such a high-quality, affordable getaway.

Our room was lovely, although a bit small. There were fluffy towels, bathrobes, snacks, chocolate, beverages and a nice gift in our room. The innkeepers were absent, but in their place were a very nice and friendly couple who were very accomodating. The food was delish, the inn was cozy, and we wish we could have spent a little more time there. Thanks for a lovely weekend away.

It is THE VERY BEST B&B at which we have stayed... Amazing breakfasts, hospitality was 5 star, great location, and On-site amenities beyond expectation (House Pub, Pool Table, Internet access, tea/coffee available 24/7)
