Welcome to the Chaska House located in Waxahachie, TX offering "Victorian Splendor" and Texas Hospitality. Opened as a bed & breakfast in 1993 by Louis and Linda Brown, the National Register-Listed home recently completed a meticulous year-long restoration, emerging as a fascinating combination of history, luxury, comfort and whimsical adventure—specifically designed with B&B guests in mind.

The house and each of its uniquely-decorated common areas and extraordinary guest rooms (named and styled after authors) are a remarkable blend of original architecture, master craftsmanship (old and new) and imaginative interior design. Rich colors, opulent fabrics, fine art and pedigreed antiques are combined with contemporary pieces, luxurious amenities and state-of-the-art technology to create a comfortable elegance rarely found in historic lodging properties

For activities the historic courthouse square is just a short stroll with great shopping and choice restaurants nearby. Only forty minutes (and 100 years) south of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Visit the Scarborough Faire Renaissance Festival is a great activity to partake in as well as Screams, the world’s largest Halloween Theme Park. The Texas theatre is close by for the artsy vacationers.

Check In Policy:
Normal Check-in from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Arrivals and departures outside of normal hours should be communicated.
Check Out Policy:
Check-out by 11:00 a.m.
Cancellation Policy:
The deposit is fully refundable if notice is communicated in person or by phone no less than 5 days prior the scheduled arrival date. Late cancellations are subject to the full charges for the reserved night(s) unless the room(s) can be re-booked for the same period. If we are successful in rebooking the room(s), the deposit will be refunded in full, less a $20 processing fee.
Children: Children ages 12+
Children age 12 and over are welcome and are charged as additional persons. Younger children are welcome at the Hemingway's Guest Suites.
Deposit Policy:
A deposit equivalent to the rate for one night's stay or 50% of the reservation total invoice, whichever is larger, is required to confirm a reservation. The deposit will be applied to the total invoice due upon arrival. Requirements may differ for certain holidays, special events or group reservations.
No Pets Allowed
Sorry, pets cannot be accommodated.
Smoking:
For the comfort and safety of all guests, candles are not permitted and smoking is allowed outside only on the first floor porches and grounds. A smoke remediation fee will be charged to the credit card of guests responsible for smoking inside.
