Our cats and a few native white-tail deer may greet you when you arrive at Kuebler Waldrip Haus Bed and Breakfast. The original pet, Angel is no longer with us... because if she were still alive, she would be 16 years old. She raised 6 babies here, so some of the other native deer are her offspring. As you walk in the door, you will feel as though you have walked back in time. The rock and timber homestead originally from 1847 was a small rectangular shaped home. The walls of the original home range from 17" to 23" thick. The three sons (Dibrell, Darrell, and David) and the family Larry and Margy Waldrip lovingly restored this home and then added to it. The rocks that were used to add to the house were recycled from the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Comal County Jail. If you like to talk history, please feel free to ask and take pictures. One historical note, the rock in front of the old fireplace in the kitchen is the original front step of the Comal County Jailhouse. You've heard of Elvis's jailhouse rock, well we have real jailhouse rock. I do not mind that these walls can't talk!! Come and see this for yourself. Family Style Candlelight Breakfast Brunch begins at 9:30 am.
Our breakfast brunch is served beginning at 9:30 am. Each morning we serve an egg dish, a fresh meat(bacon, sausage, or ham), fresh fruit, homemade bread(pancakes, muffins, rolls, cinnamon rolls, toast, english muffins, or bagels), potatoes or homemade tamales, juice, water, milk, hot tea and coffee, and condiments that compliment what is served that morning. We also differ our menu each morning to keep it interesting. We will be happy to accommodate any dietary needs that you may have, please let us know when you make a reservation so that we can accommodate your needs. We also serve toast some mornings using bread from our local famous bakery, Naegelin's Bakery. They are famous for their struttle.

Guests can sit and read a book, watch a video or a 42" TV, play table games, sit and talk or sit and relax, enjoy a drink, homemade snacks, or Texas Blue Bell Ice Cream. Best of all enjoy this free of charge. Now you can really relax. Some guests don't want to leave after they have arrived. Story: A couple arrived with their children to go to Schlitterbahn Water Park. They checked in, relaxed, the kids played. Now the kids wanted to stay... and the adults wanted to go to Schlitterbahn.

Guests enjoy this special area of the main house anytime of the year. This is the fireplace where the Jailhouse rock front step is located. If the weather is cold enough (seasonal), we may have made a fire in the fireplace. You are welcome to sit, relax, read a book, watch TV (video, DVD, or watch Dish Network). If you are staying in the main house, the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building, you may get to smell breakfast before breakfast because we prepare and serve breakfast in this building. We have hot tea and coffee beginning at 7 am and breakfast is served beginning at 9:30 am. Make sure you bring your appetite with you.

Are you looking for a room with a Jacuzzi??
We have rooms that do have a jacuzzi in them, and they are: the Hillside Hideaway (king bed and jacuzzi bath), Katherine's Attic (king bed and jacuzzi/shower bath), Danville School Room (queen bed and jacuzzi bath), and the Deer Haven Cottage (queen bed and jacuzzi bath). We have a total of 11 bedrooms on the property, and can accommodate up to 34 guests. If you wish to have a brochure sent to you, please call us or email us with your information.
