Our experience at the Claiborne House was one of the best B&Bs we have tried. I think we have stay at about five different sites and this was great by comparison. The home was beautiful, the decor contained gorgeous antiques, the grounds were inviting, the breakfasts were the best we've ever had, and the hosts were the friendliest possible. We are anxious to try some of the other rooms, especially the Browning Room, in the future when we want to celebrate a special occasion or just for a relaxing few days. What a wonderful experience.

The Claiborne House is a marvelous B&B with wonderful ambiance. We chose the Browning Room which was beautifully appointed with antiques without being stuffy. There was a private entry with a long porch for sitting, a gigantic Jacuzzi, a fireplace that could be used on even a not-too-cool night and a double shower. We took advantage of it all! Our only regret was that we slept through what smelled like a marvelous breakfast! But there was coffee in the room and that got us up and going finally! Hope to stay here again!

What a lovely home! This was my husband's first B and B experience and I wasn't sure how he would feel about perceived privacy issues-But our room downstairs,"Brownings' Room", has an outside entrance with a porch so you don't get that "hemmed in" feeling-Beautifully furnished, unbelievably clean, with a breakfast to die for! There are lots of places to stay in Jefferson,but we will return to The Claiborne House again and again-

We love to stay in the Keats Room. It is very romantic with the Jaccuzzi for 2 and the King size bed. The breakfast is fantastic. They start off with an awesome fruit soup that I look forward to every am. The Holden's and their staff (Ms. LuLu) are the most hospitible people I have ever met. They make you feel at home and like family instead of making you feel like you are intruding on their home. We look forward to a yearly visit with them. We will definitely be back. May even take the kids during an off season.

I actually was in the area on business, but this turned out to be a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city where I live! The staff are very friendly. The room was very comfortable and well-appointed. I would love to have a chance to come back when I can enjoy all of the other wonderful things Jefferson, Texas, has to offer. Thanks for a great experience!

This was our second stay at the Claiborne House. They have the best breakfast you will ever find, the blackberry soup is the best. Lovely rooms, well decorated, clean and just perfect for that much needed getaway. Hosts, Elaine and Steve will make you feel right at home. Jefferson is the perfect place to get away to. We sure hope to go back again real soon!
