Oma's Cottage
If you're an incurable romantic, you'll find the ultimate seclusion and charming decor of our one bedroom cottage house to be simply unmatched. The living room includes a queen hide-a-bed and an overstuffed chair & ottoman. Like all our accommodations, of course, it is furnished with 99 channel cable TV and VCR. A fully equipped kitchen has stove, refrigerator, microwave, sink, disposal, coffee service and is complete with dinner & tableware for 8. It even has a washer/dryer for emergencies. The bedroom features a Queen-size bed with antique dresser, nightstands, boudoir lamps and rocker. The master bath includes a Jacuzzi tub-shower combination and a large walk-in closet. And to enhance your private compound there is a front porch area with wicker furniture, a rear deck with chairs and independent off-street parking.

Ida Mae
The Ida Mae, our honeymoon and bridal suite, is ground floor accessible off the music room in the east wing of the main house and perhaps the most stunning of all our guestrooms. It can be entered from inside the home or from its own private entrance off the wraparound side porch. The focal point of the room, an immense Victorian pedestal step bed that you literally "climb" into, is draped and flanked by a marble fireplace and hearth the full-length of the wall. The marbletop antique chest & dresser are among the finest of the period antiques in the house. A pair of Sevoire arm chairs and an antique desk and chair complete the furnishings in the bedroom. The large private bath includes a Duncan-Phyfe conversion vanity & mirror and a glass-encased shower. A Thomas Kincaide hexogonal stained-glass window over a separate Jacuzzi sets this bathing environment clearly above the norm.

Clarissa
Looking to experience victorian elegance? Then our spacious second floor luxury suite, the Clarissa, is an excellent choice. As the largest and hence one of the most requested of the main house accommodations, it features hardwood floors and a majestic King-sized four-poster mahogany bed accented with elegant bed linens and window treatments. A massive Chiffarobe, nightstand, dresser and mirror round out the antique bedroom furnishings. A quiet sitting area, located between the two windows, includes an antique Duncan Phyfe dinette (for optional in-room dining) and a pair of high wing-back chairs. It also includes a breathtaking master bath with a jacuzzi tub, separate shower, both his and her marble vanities and a large walk-in closet.

Molly
Molly’s Room is deliciously inviting and another of our larger bedrooms with victorian rose Axminster carpeting, an antique oak armoire, dresser and washstand set, and a lovely fainting couch from the Tennessee Governor’s Mansion. It has a magnificent King-size Millenium bed nestled in a backdrop sea of roses. A decorative wingback chair and antique Singer table subtly incorporates cable TV and DVD player into the setting to complete the decor. The extra large bathroom has an oversize clawfoot tub with a European style shower for that quietly relaxing soak in which to unwind. It also features another of the unique antique Eastlake dresser & mirror conversion vanities in the house. Of our many repeat guests, the Molly not surprisingly ranks among the most room-loyal of requests.

Beatrice
The Beatrice welcomes guests with beautiful hardwood floors and family heirloom oak bedroom pieces dating from the late 1800’s, accented with a delicate hand-painted dogwood wall mural and lace window treatments. It features a Queen-size maple poster bed bedecked in hand-made quilt comforter and pillow shams. The room overlooks the backyard of the compound and features a pair of wing-back chairs and table to complete the regal setting. Of course, like all our suites, the Beatrice is complete with ceiling fan and has its own private bathroom, and has the largest of the 2-person Jacuzzi spa tubs in the house which keeps this suite in high demand. It also boasts the most striking of the numerous antique dresser & mirror bathroom vanity conversions.

Sarah Ann
Sarah Ann is warm, alluring and another of the more spacious bedrooms at American Heritage House. A comfy and relaxing room with floral Jacquard Wilton carpeting, its Queen bed has a lavish Teaster style overhead canopy accented with mini-track lighting. Rounding out the antique bedroom furnishings are an oak dresser & mirror, a beautiful antique love seat, and a turn-of- the-century wooden rocker from the family’s heirloom collection. Oak also highlights the private bathroom with a vanity and full shower. Its gabled ceilings and dormer, like the Molly, give this room exceptional architectural interest. This is the room that prompted the owners to give up their careers, move to Granbury and become full-time B&B Innkeepers.

Mary Jane
If you’ve an appreciation for Country French simplicity, Mary Jane’s room will unquestionably appeal to you. The highlight of this room is a beautifully restored 4-piece antique bedroom set with Queen-size poster bed-conversion. The room is exquisitely coordinated in a pallette of snow white and soft blue & yellow pastels. It features a one-of-a-kind diamond patchwork quilt, a charming 2 person settee and other antique collectibles. The room has rich oak-grained hardwood flooring accented with area rugs that reflect the airy color theme. The private bath is papered with anaglypta and has a large walk-in shower and Pennsylvania Dutch antique dresser that has been converted into a vanity.
