Located just three short blocks from the historic square in the quaint town of Granbury, Texas (90 minutes from DFW airport), the Iron Horse Inn Bed and Breakfast is a large (6,500 square-foot), lovingly restored Craftsman-style home featuring ornate mill work and intricate leaded glass. It is the largest historic inn in Granbury, Texas. Besides this splendid 100 year-old house, well-manicured grounds and flower gardens, the historic Granbury Texas Iron Horse Inn is well known for total care of its guests. The first-class service begins the minute you are personally greeted by hosts, Paul and Theresa. We also host a variety of artistic retreats, including quilting and painting.
Your hosts: Theresa is a native of Ireland, where she ran a center for at-risk youths. Paul recently retired from a career abroad as a U.S. diplomat. The two met when Paul was vacationing in Ireland; at the time, he was working as the human rights officer at the American Embassy in Moscow.

Delicious, full gourmet breakfasts, which vary from day to day, served in the spacious dining room.
Breakfasts begin with a fresh fruit plate (strawberries, bananas, grapes, kiwi, apples, and cantaloupe) followed by baked grapefruit, an Iron Horse Inn tradition. Then you may experience eggs picante with Italian sausage, 5-cheese casserole, spinach sausage quiche, Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries, pecans & whipped cream, or egg crepes. Always included are meat (side dish or main), homemade bran muffins, biscuits, coffee cakes, etc. and generous portions of fruit, fruit, fruit!
