In its third century on Galveston Island, Coppersmith Inn Bed & Breakfast, an 1887 Queen Anne Victorian with gingerbread trim, double verandah, and turret tower, surrounds every romantic couple, family, and business traveler with warmth and friendliness in Galveston, Texas. It has five bedrooms, three in the main house, and two outbuildings, a Cottage and Carriage House, all with private baths. Each of our lovely and romantic rooms comes with complimentary wine, cheese, anti-pasta plates, fresh baked snacks, free Wi-Fi Internet, televisions, CD and DVD players in each room. A full country breakfast is served family style in our dining room each morning. Heirloom antiques and accessories are displayed throughout the house in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The home, by Alfred Muller a renowned architect from Germany, was designed for the cashier of a steamship and railroad company. The second owner was a coppersmith from Ireland, hence the name Coppersmith Inn. Heirloom antiques and accessories are displayed throughout the house in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We are six blocks to beach and seawall and one half mile to Strand Historic District. See how beautiful it feels to merge the elegant past with the comforts of present. Visit us for a vacation you'll always treasure. |

I was pleasantly surprised when my husband and I arrived at the Coppersmith Inn B & B. The house was gorgeous and our room was nice and cozy. The Innkeeper was very cordial and hospitable. She and her mom made one heck of an outstanding breakfast for us. My husband and I are definitely going to go there for an annual visit. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The inn is in a house built in 1887, furnished beautifully with period antiques. It is quiet & relaxing, both inside & out. The atmosphere is so welcoming, the food delicious, the owner warm & friendly. We will definitely stay here again when in Galveston & will recommend Coppersmith Inn to friends traveling there. The highlight of our visit was meeting Ellen, the owner, who immediately makes you feel like you are an old friend & who is happy to share her wealth of knowledge about her city & its history.

Ellen was a wonderful hostess!! We stayed in Jasmine's Garden Room, and the bed was so soft and luxurious. Breakfast the next morning was amazing, and I got the privilege to sit and chat with her as she prepared it. I can say she was constantly busy preparing a beautiful spread for us. She had great recommendations, and two very adorable and friendly dogs. I am telling everyone I know about this place, and can't wait to make my way back down there!!

We were celebrating our 2nd Anniversary, as well as our first official weekend away alone after having our first daughter in April. This was our first time staying at a BnB. We decided to try it as the pricing was the same as some of the hotel chains on the Island that I knew would be the regular, run-of-the-mill type of rooms.
When we arrived, we were greeted by her two Boston Terriers. We were pleased when we saw how cozy and elegant the room was. We felt like we had plenty of privacy and were probably a little more comfortable there than we would have been in a hotel.
Perhaps the best part of our stay was the amazing breakfast! The food was to die for and it was fun to dine family-style with the other people who had spent the night there.
We will definitely be looking for more BnB's when we travel!

This is certainly somewhere I would choose to stay again. The food is excellent and the guest are great hosts. The location is good as the inn is in a quieter area, yet blocks from the seawall. There is nothing I can complain about regarding my stay there.

It was wonderful. The setting was so peaceful and romantic. The home is beautiful, surrounded by lush and colorful gardens. It was the perfect place to get away and celebrate our 7th anniversary. We enjoyed the hot tub, dined at wonderful restaurants, walked along the Strand, took a carriage ride and a walk on the beach during the sandcastle competition. The innkeepers were a delight to meet. It felt like a home away from home. We would surely return!

I am a workaholic and find it difficult to relax. Immediately upon arrival at the Coopersmith, I was calm, peaceful and wanted to live there forever.
