The Coach House in Christoval has to be one of my most favorite places ever. I have been there many times; I have brought friends with me or just come by myself. Either way, Nancy has always gone out of her way to make sure every little detail is perfect. She is friendly and attentive, but not always around and in your way like some other places. She is there if you need her, but otherwise you just enjoy her treats by yourself. Like those brownies. They alone would be worth the trip, but then there is the breakfast. The first time I went, I never thought I would be able to eat that huge homemade waffle, but now I look forward to cleaning my plate. Plus the eggs and biscuits and fruit cups and never ending coffee. What a wonderful way to wake up. There is a lazy river right around the corner great for floating. Across the road is a beautiful winery that serves food, or a fabulous Mexican restaurant close to the winery. San Angelo has great shopping and funky bars with live entertainment. Or great steak places and more Mexican food. A trip for me is not complete without visiting the hermit monks gift shop, just a very short drive away. In other words, everything you could want for a short getaway is all right there at the Coach House. :)

This is one of the best B&B's I have stayed at, bar none. Nancy's biscuits and brownies are the best I have ever had! My husband and I very much enjoyed spending our first anniversary here. There is a huge movie selection from which to pick, a wonderful place to sit and enjoy nature on the porch, fantastic food, and great company with Nancy and Tommy when they come over in the mornings. I can't wait to stay here again in a few days! I am looking forward to visiting the nearby attractions including the Hummer House and the river. This is a great place to stay if you are out of town visiting San Angelo/Goodfellow AFB (as I was) or just as a local get away. So quiet and relaxing. I can't say enough about how wonderful this B&B is!

If you're looking for a quaint place with charm, great hospitality, delicious food & just an overall wonderful place to stay...you've found it at The Coach House. My husband & I stayed there and were extremely impressed. It's a very comfortable and clean place and we love the decor. Best of all, we found a new friendship with Tommy & Nancy. They are wonderful people! What an outstanding B&B! We HIGHLY recommend The Coach House. Mark & Nicole P.S. Nancy makes THE BEST brownies & blueberry muffins!

Finding The Coach House Bed and Breakfast was such a great surprise for us. We were greeted with friendly, smiling faces who were excited to have us as guests. Gary and I truly felt we were special! Nancy and Tommy went out of their way to accommodate each request we made, including helping us gather firewood to grill and have a late night fire under the starry skies. Nancy shared with us information about the area which revealed truly amazing discoveries for our journey through the Texas Plains. We realized we had not just stepped into a small-town bed and breakfast but we had also stepped into history, local culture and true Texas hospitality. The jewel of the experience was watching Nancy navigate in the kitchen, making biscuits from scratch, and constantly working several cast iron skillets on top of Old Blackie. We have photos of the country breakfast that would cause anyone reading to make a reservation right away. Sorry that "insert" is not an option for us to include those photos on this website. The Coach House Bed and Breakfast is bookmarked for us for the future!

I don't "do" B and B's. I think I just prefer a more anonymous stay. I went to the Coach House because my friend loves it so much. I had never visited Christoval before either, despite many visits to San Angelo. Christoval is a sweet little town with river access that is just dripping with small town charm. But I don't think I would have enjoyed it half as much if I had not stayed with Nancy and Coach at Coach House. A tiny old house - very clean and comfortable. Big beds with soft sheets and lots of window units to keep the temperature comfortable. I like it on SNOW and was very, very happy with it. Nancy arranges a convenient time to make you breakfast and oh...my. Does she ever. Melt in your mouth biscuits and eggs and bacon and waffles ham and ...well...I could go on and on. We had a hard time letting her go every morning because we SO enjoyed our conversation. She and Coach have lived all over Central and West Texas and they know the area very well. We spent mornings drinking coffee on the porch with the hummingbirds and evenings under the enormous old Live Oak in the back yard. Afternoons were largely spent napping because the combination of hot days and cool house and birdsong and crickets and frogs singing have a soporific effect I couldn't resist. Lots of great reading material for the amateur Texas Historian. A huge collection of recently released movies and fresh fruit and cheese plate and home made brownies meant we were always provided with entertainment and something to nibble. Truly - this place is a gem. It was lovely and I came away with two new warm, wonderful, fascinating friends.

This was a very enjoyable place go stay. Loved the vintage feel and hospitality from Nancy and her husband Tom. The first night we put Nancy to the test. I had 6 bridesmaids staying the night with me. Nancy was so very nice and put up with us crazy girls, even after we had locked ourselves out that night! The second night Nancy had the whole place spick and span for my new husband and I to arrive to after the hurricane of girls. Haha. She made us a very nice full filling breakfast and we enjoyed talking to her and Tom. Everything was wonderful and I would highly recommend the coach, if your just looking for a nice home away from home to stay with your hubby or even have a few more with you along the way! Nancy can do it all! -Mr and Mrs Roberts & Roberts wedding bridesmaids (:

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The Coach House was very homey and comfortable and enjoyable. We enjoyed relaxing and being together. We enjoyed the food very much and all the hard work Nancy put into it. We also very much enjoyed meeting Nancy and Tom and enjoyed visiting with them. They were a blessing to us! I hope we'll get to visit again someday in the future.

There are not enough words to express how this place has affected my husband and I. We have told soo many people of our wonderful experience and how it has touched hearts and helped rekindle a marriage when we needed it the most. My husband and I stayed along with my niece and her husband for our husband's boss's wedding at a nearby lodge. We were amazed at how beautiful it was and how the home had such a welcoming feel to it. Nancy and Coach couldn't have made it any better for us. We truly enjoyed our wonderful breakfast and time socializing w/ such wonderful hosts. We felt totally comfortable from the moment we arrived until the moment we left and hated to have to leave when we did. My husband and I are looking forward to going again for another special weekend just for that much needed time away. My niece and her husband are planning to do the same. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER!!!! Much thanks to Ms. Nancy and Coach for the wonderful people you are

My husband and I stayed for our anniversary. It was beautiful and comfortable. It was a home away from home kind of feeling. A whole house to yourself compared to just another hotel room! Waking up to the smell of bacon, bisquits, gravy, and so much more just a few steps away was very nice. The owners were friendly and hospitable. The town it self is great to go drive around. There are small shops and the river is beautiful any time of year. We were very happy with our stay.
