Welcome to our river-side escape with lodging for up to 10. Morning Glory House is one (1) of three (3) options from which to choose, whether for a romantic get-away, family reunion or wedding. Located near Christoval, Texas, just on the edge of the famous Texas Hill Country, guests enjoy a secluded vacation with canoeing and fishing, and, can make short trips to nearby points of interest along the Texas Forts Trail and more.

Morning Glory House, a 2-story cottage, sits just above Concho River's edge and sleeps up to four. Built in 2002, the house has cozy decor. From the wrap-around porch guests enjoy views of the river along with open spaces where wildlife abound - owls, turkeys, and deer visit while tiny jeweled hummingbirds visit during warmer months. Our S. Concho River flyway is a welcome habitat for a variety of birds seeking food and water in the vast West Texas area.

Additional lodging is within an easy walk and is also on our secluded, river-side property. Special arrangements can be made for more lodging, nearby, for "extended" families and large groups.

This place is the perfect hidden paradise. The property and cottage are gorgeous! The cottage we stayed in was cozy and romantic, with the river yards away from the lovely porch. Sipping coffee in the morning, watching the birds and wildlife play, listening to the river flow was heaven. There is so many things available to do on the property from fishing, water play, canoeing, tubing, all right there. Sylvia has prepared the spaces with such a lovely charm, thinking of everything someone may need to make their stay enjoyable. She has prepared the property for almost any need, from a romantic escape, a friends weekend away, to a family reunion, this property is the perfect cozy paradise. Sylvia gave us privacy but was a phone call or text away if we needed anything or had an issue. I will be returning. The town of Christoval is a perfect retreat, with a winery right next door, and horse stables for trail rides down the road. I do intend next time to bring a couple of steaks to utilize the grill provided and hopefully book a couple of more nights as 2 just didn't seem to be enough time to enjoy all of the possible activities available in the small town. Thank you Sylvia for one of the best experiences that we could have asked for.

Our stay at the Morning Glory was absolutely perfect. It is an idyllic setting and such a surprise with lush green surroundings, a flowing river and a totally romantic atmosphere. It truly is an oasiss in West Texas. The cottage is very comfortable and pretty, with everything you could need. The photos don't show it, but there is a nice sitting area adjacent to the bedroom and the kitchen is full sized. We were able to cook several meals using the outdoor grill and the electric skillet and microwave provided. Our hostess did everything to make our stay comfortable and the refrigerator was stocked with everything we could need for breakfasts. The grounds are so expansive (and immaculately kept) that you have total privacy. The river was flowing nicely and is very clear. Tubes are provided for "floating." There is a swing to sit in under one of the large Cypress trees, a glider on the porch and table and chairs down by the river. I could not have picked a better place for a two day "romantic" getaway in West Texas. And, it is a great value. Once you get there, you won't want to leave! I am planning to take my two best friends back in the Fall for a girl's getaway. It is perfectly set up for that also with the adorable upstairs room. You will love this place.

This is a very peaceful beautiful place to relax. It has a pretty creek with table that sits close. Great to go down and drink you morning coffee and listen to the peaceful sounds of the creek and the sounds of nature. You can also sit down there and watch your small children play in the creek very safely..In the evening you can also sit on the big porch and watch the humming birds feed or the little deer roam up a ways from the creek. For a little more adventure there is the river nearby to swing from the rope in the tree,or just float on you tube and relax.Great place to rejuvenate..

We were amazed to find an oasis in West Texas. We had few expectations for the Bed and Breakfast and found that we were treated to a really great weekend. We found all the homey comforts that other B & B's provide. (the strawberries were tremendous) We had a beautiful stay and will stay again. We were thrilled with the Winery next doot and joined the club. Can't wait to visit both. B & C

What a wonderful place to rest and relax. Thanks to Sylvia from the San Angelo Art Club for the opportunity to visit sketch, paint and snap shots of the only river in Texas to flow North. We plan on showing some of the results at the Kendall Gallery later this year. bk

My two sisters and I had a great time. The host is very personable and made us feel very welcome and "at home". The surrounding area is great for walking or sitting by the river. Wonderful week-end! Will definitely go back.

What a lovely, relaxing, and peaceful place to stay. An "oasis" in its location and "refreshment" for the soul! Great for a couple, or for the family. We can't wait to return to the Morning Glory House B&B for some R&R!

The property and Morning Glory cottage are beautiful beyond belief. Unlike other cottages in the area, Morning Glory looks out on clear running water, rolling lawns, roaming deer and turkey...and most amazing are the cypress trees like those found in the Blanco River and Cypress Creek near Wimberly. Once guests read the visitor's log, you know that everyone who comes is blown away. It's easy to understand why.
