Established in 1903, the historic Chilhowee Inn has been serving visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains for over 100 years. Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, on the bank of the Little River, the Chilhowee Inn offers guests the beauty and serenity of a secluded mountain setting, along with the amenities of a modern B&B.
Enjoy a full country breakfast each morning and a special homemade dessert at the end of your day, all included with your room. You may also order a picnic lunch if you plan to spend your day in the mountains. Conveniently located in Walland, Tennessee on the “Peaceful side of the Smoky Mountains”, the Chilhowee Inn is just 10 minutes from The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where the beauty of nature and wildlife are the main attractions. Enjoy the natural and historic beauty of Cades Cove and feel like you have stepped back to a time when our nation was young and wild. You may even see a few bear!
There are auto tour routes, hiking trails, bicycle trails, fishing, tubing, kayaking, and nature trails for leisurely strolls. You can visit the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center and Museum, and the Little River Railroad Museum in Townsend, and The Great Smoky Mountain Institute at Tremont. Looking for more? Take a scenic 35 minute drive along the beautiful Little River Road to Gatlinburg, where you will find fine restaurants, shopping, the aquarium, the arts and crafts community, and winter skiing and ice skating. Just up from Gatlinburg is Pigeon Forge with music theaters, outlet malls, and Dollywood. The Chilhowee Inn is just 20 minutes from Knoxville’s McGee Tyson Airport, 10 minutes from Maryville College, and 30 minutes from the University of Tennessee. |
