Relax at Highland Place Bed & Breakfast Inn located in the heart of Jackson, TN. This 1911 colonial revival mansion features elegant guest rooms, expansive public space and an eclectic collection of southwest art and American handmade crafts. The inn offers you your choice of four large guest rooms, each with private bath, 100% cotton linens and cozy robes, cable TV with nearly 100 channels, including three HBOs, and a VCR backed by our library of great hits. Several rooms also have a small stereo with a selection of music cds and capability of playing your own cds and tapes.
Located in Jackson's north highland historic district, there are a number of interesting homes within walking distance. Lambuth University, one of four universities in the Jackson area, is just a couple of blocks west. Lane College is just to the east. Union University is only a couple of miles north. We are five blocks north of downtown Jackson on Highland Avenue approximately 3.3 miles south of I-40 Exit 82A. Downtown Jackson offers several quality restaurants, shops, galleries and theatre. I slept better here than I do at home! Attribute this to the hospitality of the owners and their dog, Chessie. Also a huge jazz CD collection, lots of movies to watch and a house with great feng shui.

Dave and I had a wonderful stay with Cyndi as our hostess. The calm, comfortable, and beautiful surroundings were exactly what we love. Our hostess was delightful to visit with and get to know. She's an excellent cook and is superb with the presentation of meals. She made us feel totally welcome. Hope that we can stay there again sometime!

I would go back again and again! Beautiful historic home, lovingly renovated & decorated. Marvelous breakfasts, comfortable rooms. They were so gracious about making arrangements for my dog as well as myself (not an easy thing to find at a B&B) - and Cynthia went above and beyond the call of host duty to help me rescue a stray puppy!

The room was comfortable and calming. From the snuggly bed, to the cozy fireplace, to the warm skylight, to the soft and thick linens, this place is a must for anyone seeking a relaxing weekend.

I surprised my husband with a weekend get away to Highland Place for Valentine's Day. The home exceeded our expectations in every category! The room was clean, neat and beautifully decorated. The Butler Suite was complete with a living room, bedroom, and wonderful claw foot soaking tub. We dined on a 5 course meal that we rate 5 star! Breakfast was just as delicious and the portion size and food quality amazing! Cyn and Bill are the perfect inn keepers and made us feel right at home. We highly recommend a night at Highland Place and look forward to a return visit!

This was a spectacular place and I wish I had the weekend to spend in Jackson, TN. The inn keeper gives a detailed history and tour of the inn as well as local history, especially of the civil war. I am so grateful that another B&B owner recommended Highland Place.
