Located in Gatlinburg, TN, Laurel Springs Lodge Bed and Breakfast is a 1930’s B&B near the Smoky Mountains and Pigeon Forge. We are 30 miles from the University of Tennessee, great for that weekend getaway to visit your student at UT or take in a home game.

We are minutes from horseback riding, golfing, skiing, rafting, Ober Gatlinburg, and Dollywood. We’re only 3 miles from the Smoky Mountain National Park, and 5 miles from Pigeon Forge. The bed and breakfast is located in town, two blocks from the parkway and light number two. You can take the trolley from that intersection, or take an easy walk into downtown. Our setting is a secluded, wooded hillside, overlooking the Little Pigeon River. Gatlinburg is one of the top Honeymoon destinations in the U.S. and Laurel Springs Lodge is a wonderful setting for your small wedding or reception.

The Lodge was built in 1932 and it operated as Miss McCalley’s boarding house for a number of its early years. It has been totally renovated inside to bring you modern conveniences without ruining the original ambience. The Lodge is very comfortable with a living room that is rustic with knotty pine walls, leather seating, and a large stacked stone wood burning fireplace. The front porch is enclosed, one end is used for breakfast and the other has a common/seating area, with an electric fireplace. We have a small but eclectic library, video library, and numerous board games.

The gazebo is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors. We are 200 feet from the Little Pigeon River, which is stocked with trout each Thursday! We serve a delicious gourmet breakfast, served on the dining porch (not buffet style) from 8:00 to 9:30 am.

The B&B has five guest rooms, all with private baths and bathrobes, cable TV, VCR and DVD players, mini fridges, premium linens, and botanical bath products. Enjoy the "Old World" Smoky Mountain ambience in our totally renovated historic home. We have central air conditioning, updated plumbing, four person hot tub, and free wireless internet.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely place! Everything was great, including the special towels shaped like swans, the robe, the drinks and snacks, etc. Our hosts were also very helpful and kind. It is also a very fun area with lots to do! Would definitely recommend this inn!

Dan and Karen did a great job of being friendly and chatting when we wanted to without asking personal questions more than what we brought up. The rooms were quiet, except that you can faintly hear when people run water or walk on the floor above. Of the five rooms, only three were occupied. The common areas are cozy, neither too feminine nor too mountain-themed. The gardens look as if they would be beautiful in spring and summer. A couple of things that didn't bother us, but others might want to consider: The in-room bathroom offered only the illusion of privacy, which may bother very modest people. This is not a room that anyone other than couples would want to share. Also, the main entrance and the rooms are reached by stairs. There was one thermostat for the entire floor, set to 69 F. We opened our windows and turned on the ceiling fan to customize the temperature during the warm days. Breakfast was delicious and Karen will happily accommodate special requests if given enough notice. As a tea-drinker, I was pleased to see there was not a bag of Lipton in sight; only Bigelow-grade bags in several tea and herbal varieties. I would stay here again.

This was our fourth stay with Dan and Karen. WE LOVE this little bed and breakfast. Chef Karen spoils us with delicious breakfast and snack creations. Dan knows how to do almost everything...so picking his brain in conversations is a treat, too. The rooms are cozy, charming, and feel like your own studio apartment (they are surprisingly spacious). Our first visit was in 2010 and we will continue to visit Laurel Springs Lodge in the future.

Wonderful place, Dan & Karen are wonderful hosts. The food was fabulous. I am a diabetic and Karen made sure I was taken care of with the foods I could eat.

Very charming home originally built in the 1930's. Caretakers are wonderful and very accommodating. The location is great also located within walking distance to traffic light #2. The trolley picks up at that light. Breakfasts were delicious and filling!

This was our first visit to the lodge ,but it will not be our last. We visited during the month of May, when all the beautiful spring colors were absolutely amazing. We stayed in the mini sweet called, the Fern Room. Very charming room with a view of the hillside where we were visited by some furry friends. The owners Dan and Karen were excellent host! When we checked in we were given a a list of items to choose from for breakfast for the next morning. We were very impressed with the baked apple and the french toast was the best! During breakfast we were visited by beautiful birds and surrounded by beautiful landscape. This lodge is located in the country just far enough to enjoy peace and quite, but only 5 minutes away from Gatlinburg attractions. We will definitely be visiting this cozy lodge again. The Ivey's

This was our first stay at Laurel Springs Lodge and we plan on returning. Dan & Karen have a very cozy, quiet, clean, and inviting Inn. The breakfast was very good, and the Lodge was decorated in festive holiday trim. We really enjoyed our stay.

We showed up around 8 pm not knowing if they had anything available but Dan answered the door and we were welcomed in for the night. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. We were just passing through on our way to another location. We are so glad that we stopped there for the night instead of one of the many hotels that lead into Gatlinburg.
