Set back in the hills of SD, Elk Ridge Bed & Breakfast in Keystone, is situated on a wooded hillside with an unobstructed view of the back side of Mt. Rushmore. Elk Ridge Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located about 4 miles from Mt. Rushmore, halfway between Keystone and Hill City on historic Old Hill City Road. Stunning scenery...awe inspiring vistas, hiking, scenic drives all waiting for you.

Each of our guest rooms has a private Jaccuzi tub to lay back in and feel the pressures of the world go away. During peak season listen for the 1880 Train as it travels between the towns of Keystone(home to Mt.Rushmore)and Hill City...heart of the hills. Both nearby towns feature great casual and fine dining, souvenir and antique shopping, as well as local live theater. When you visit Rapid City you will see bronze statues of all the past presidents on the street corners downtown. They are so life like they make you take a second look.Rapid City has many museums, a dinosaur park, fine and casual dining as well as an drive through animal park that gets you up close and personal with bears and wolves. Visit the great Christmas store that are open year round or watch our famous Black Hills Gold being made. For the fisherman there are many streams for fishing as well as lake fishing. There are so many outdoor sporting activities you will need a month if you want to do them all. The Black Hills of South Dakota are a great destination vacation.Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial within minutes from our inn.

A fabulous experience. Ron and Leslie are most gracious hosts. They have excellent first hand knowledge of the Black Hills and are happy to share their recommendations for both attractions and dining. Their beautiful home is off of the main highway (quiet), yet close to all of the sights in the Black Hills. The breakfasts were some of the finest that we have had anywhere. We can't wait to return.

Leslie and Ron were so down to earth and friendly and easy to talk to, we felt like we were at a vacation home with family. And when we wanted to retreat to our room, we could sleep the whole day if we wanted to do so, undisturbed or exit our rooms via private patio door and go for a walk. The breakfasts were wonderfully filling and delicious. The location is idyllic, quiet, very relaxing, practically no traffic--yet still convenient & close to Rushmore, Keystone and Hill City and Custer State Park and the Black Hills.

Wonderful experience if you're looking for secluded, yet easy-to-reach accomodations in the heart of the Black Hills. Leslie and Ron provided a friendly and welcoming environment for all their guests, and the food was phenomenal!
