Achamore House is a baronial mansion built in 1884 by Captain Scarlett, set in the midst of magnificent gardens in the Isle of Gigha. The house has twelve rooms to let, a library, Snooker Room, large lounge and a separate TV lounge with over 600 DVD’s to choose from. We make you feel at home; if you want peace and quiet then you will have that, or if you would like to help Emma milk her cows one evening then you are welcome to help out!
Gigha itself is a remarkable island of 155 residents, 6 miles long and a mile wide, which is largely owned by its residents. Fascinating history and rich archaeological ruins abound. If you thought that Scotland was mostly to be experienced in Edinburgh or Glasgow, then you haven't visited Gigha.
The fact that most visitors return again and again nearly says it all.
