Built in 1750 and on the National Register of Historic Places, the Melville House Inn is located in the heart of Newport's Historic Hill on a quiet street of interesting old colonial buildings, just one block up from Thames Street with its Brick Market, wharfs, restaurants and shops. Trinity Church C. 1726 and Touro Synagogue, the first in the US, are only 2 blocks away.
