Montreal Oasis bed and breakfast is located in downtown Montreal, opposite the "museum district". Ten minutes walk to the Fine Arts Museum, the Canadian Center for Architecture. Couple of minutes by foot from the Old Forum, now the AMC with its 22 movie theaters, stores and big open space where the Canadian Idol took place the other day.
The underground city is equally close, as well as the metro and plenty of fine restaurants, cafes, etc. Just walk out and wind your way up to the Summit Circle, the best lookout in town, which is also a bird sanctuary. On the way you will pass beautiful old houses and gardens, not one looks like the other. If you prefer the more mainstream Mount Royal Parc and its lookout, it is also just up the hill. One of Canada's oldest houses, the Hurtubise House, is in close proximity to the B&B.
If you have a special interest in this house, the host may be able to arrange a visit. |
