Bonshaw Breezes Bed & Breakfast is an all season playground where you can kayak, bicycle, hike, cross country ski, snowshoe, fly a kite, throw a frisbee, or soak in the hot tub simply by walking out the back door. If you choose to travel off-site, Prince Edward Island’s slower pace, easy driving distances, rolling hills and bucolic landscape gently stopping at the sea guarantee a unique experience for all visitors.

Breakfasts to die for!
Upon arrival at Bonshaw Breezes B&B, breakfast menus for the following day are posted. Each day begins with a variety of juices. Yogurts and cereals are available at the breakfast bar, along with raisins, cranberries, flax, bran etc. For the fruit course, a fruit platter, salad, kabobs, parfait, fruit compote or something equally as healthy and tantalizing follows. A variety of homemade baking from breads, muffins, scones and more let's you choose your favorites. Main courses vary from pancakes, french toast, soufflés, frittatas, quiches and eggs benedict to waffles, crepes, omlettes and more. Dishes are rotated daily and even with lengthy stays, every day’s menu is a delightfully different dining experience. Island bacon, sausage and ham add to your dining pleasure for those who enjoy some additional protein to kick start their day. For those of you who enjoy something a little lighter…try a smoothie. They are available upon request provided you let us know the evening before. Unlimited tea and freshly ground coffee are always ready and waiting for you. PEI preserves and real Island maple and fruit syrups make breakfast a bonus. Children are always considered with menu items like chocolate chip pancakes, breakfast tortilla's etc Low fat, vegetarian, high protein, lactose intolerant, health smart, diabetic and those with food allergies are given every consideration. The breathtaking view from our 80ft wraparound deck is awesome!Guests may opt to dine on the deck, watch the sunrise or sunset, enjoy their morning coffee or evening glass of wine.Feel free to use the binoculars to watch the eagles soar and ofsprey dive for their supper in the West River just minutes away.We also offer a telescope to view the heavenly constellations, which are magnificent on our pollution/smog/humidity-free island. Many hours have been spent playing cards or board games, reading a favorite book or magazine, lounging in the hammock or swing set or simply, listening to the melodic wind chimes, while soaking up the tranquility and peaceful nature of our Emerald Isle.For those that would rather appreciate activities than join in, you have a front row seat for the many croquet, frisbee and horseshoe challenges! The lower deck offers the same ammenities as well as the luxurious hot-tub! We welcome you to curl up in one of our many comfy chairs and indulge yourself in enjoying the slower pace that our Emerald Isle and Bonshaw Breezes offers. Spacious and relaxing guest entertainment area
From the guest lounge you can walk out your private entrance to our lower deck where you will also find our all season hot tub, a patio set, comfortable lounge chairs and an outdoor fireplace.This enormous room has a beautiful fireplace topped by a HD, Plasma, Satellite, TV with DVD/VCR and an extensive movie collection. A sitting area provides an alternate eating or games area. Want to read the daily newspaper, catch up on what is happening in the real world on our wireless internet? Be our guests!

Since the vistas of our beautiful, 7 acre, property are so spectacular year round, we have strategically placed seating arrangements around our property. Muskoka chairs can be found on the lower deck, by the hot tub and outside fireplace, at the campfire and beside the cottage, as well as beside our home, overlooking the east valley and river. A variety of wicker chairs, bistro sets and patio sets can be found on both the upper and lower decks. Two seater swings and hammocks complete the various seating possibilitie for front row viewing of our spectacular views from sunrise to sunset!

Our Picture Perfect Cottage houses the Lady Slipper and Mayflower Suites
Bonshaw Breezes picture perfect cottage is home to two, luxurious, private, housekeeping units. The Mayflower suite is a tastefully appointed studio/efficiency unit. The Lady's Slipper suite is a spacious full housekeeping unit with a separate bedroom. Both units sleep 4 comfortably as they both have top of the line queen beds as well as double pull-out beds.Units may be rented separately or since they enjoy a common foyer, may be booked together to accommodate 6-8 comfortably. Either cottage provides a couple or family the opportunity to save money preparing their own meals while on vacation.Barbeque facilities and an outside eating area, on our beautifully landscaped grounds are available for your enjoyment.Of course the complimentary gourmet breakfast that Bonshaw Breezes offers is always an alternative for breakfast.

Something for everyone
There is something for everyone at Bonshaw Breezes. Karen loves to read and Paul played his guitar constantly while staying at Bonshaw Breezes. Our guests have spent many hours playing cards or board games, reading a favorite book or magazine, lounging in the hammock or swing set or simply, listening to the melodic wind chimes, while soaking up the tranquility and peaceful nature of our Emerald Isle.Many croquet, frisbee, bocce, volleyball and horseshoe challenges have been had at the Breezes! Afterwards the luxurious hot-tub provides great relaxation and rejeuvenation! One of the activities growing quickly in popularity, enjoyed on the south Shore of PEI, are geocaching and waymarking.With an easy to use, hand held, geopositioning device you can enter your own coordinates for the places you wish to visit, or, you may ask for a particular set of coordinates which are already loaded into the GPS. You then follow the directions given by your GPS unit, all designed to direct you from place to place throughout the immediate area for short day trips or for an extended trip throughout the Gentle Island we call our home. We have a GPS that we would be happy to share with you...all you have to do is ask.

Guests appreciate our new waterfall
On our lower deck you will find our all season hot tub, a patio set, comfortable lounge chairs and an outdoor fireplace. The newest addition to our lower deck is a beautiful, waterfall constructed of PEI's trademark red clay boulders. Along with the visual impact, the soothing sounds of the waterfall mingled with the melodic strains of wind chimes and chirping birds, add yet another dimension to the already truly relaxing ambiance that we have created for our guests enjoyment.

Bonshaw Breezes B&B is aptly named for its location high in the breezy, rolling, hills of Bonshaw. Bonshaw Breezes is a tapestry of four and a half star luxury accommodation interwoven with spectacular, panoramic views of seven acres of beautiful countryside. Our open concept living/dining area is comfortable and inviting
Our huge open-concept living/dining areas are a hostess' dream come true. Guests sink comfortably into the soft leather couches and enjoy the cathedral ceilings, island pine floors, subdued lighting and soft music. Here they enjoy an evening snack or their morning coffee and daily paper. A glass of wine and a cheese tray, homemade cookies and a cup of tea or another choice of evening snack, equally as delightful, are a nice treat! The enormous, harvest table easily, and comfortably seats ten guests. Dining at Bonshaw Breezes is a special event, the only problem being no one wants to leave Bonshaw Breezes! Reservations for supper are required.

The Luxurious Lady Slipper Suite
Bonshaw Breezes' Lady's Slipper suite is a spacious, full housekeeping unit located in our private cottage. It is perfect for families and very popular with couples and business travellers. The coordinated decor makes your home away from home a pleasure. A complete oak kitchen with top of the line appliances includes microwave, dishwasher, fridge and flat top stove. These ammenities allow guests to economize whether on the island for business or leisure. The kitchen features in-floor heating and the dining area a family sized oak kitchen suite. The roomy living area has a desk with high speed/wireless internet access that insures that this luxurious unit is both versatile and practical. A double pull out couch and unbelievably comfortable lounge chair provide seating to enjoy the Satellite TV with DVD/VCR and an extensive movie collection. The seperate queen bedroom provides privacy and ambiance and features a unique lady's vanity. Cozy robes, spa wraps, sleep masks, butler's baskets and more make your stay special. The 4 piece en-suite bathroom, with infloor heating can be accessed from either the bedroom or the living room. Located in our private cottage, the Mayflower Suite, with queen sized bed and high quality linens, is a refreshing combination of beautiful touches teamed with everything you could ask for. From silk sleep masks and hair dryers to plush robes and spa wraps, the Mayflower is a luxurious home away from home. Top of the line stainless appliances, consisting of microwave and a large bar fridge, provide guests the option of creating their own culinary experiences. Ceiling fans, individual room thermostat control, in floor heating, and 9 foot ceilings add to your physical comfort. High speed/wireless internet keeps you in touch with the world while Satellite TV with DVD/VCR and an extensive movie collection keep you entertained.The large private 4 piece bath boasts a lady's vanity, butler's baskets, shampoo, shower caps, body lotion, body wash, and hand made soaps. The Classic Trillium Suite
The Trillium Suite boasts a truly unique queen bedroom suite. A three door wardrobe, full mirror vanity table, and several other solid wood pieces complete this lovely set. Tastefully appointed and decorated in restful tones, this room invites a deep night's sleep. Cozy robes, spa wraps and sleep masks are provided for your pleasure. In the Trillium suite you will find Satellite TV with DVD/VCR. For your privacy there is a four piece bath, decorated in a lively theme, with hairdryers, shampoo, shower caps, body wash, body lotion and handmade soap.The adjacent, private and spacious sitting room is reserved exclusively for guests. Here phone and high speed wireless internet are provided and you will find a large screen, HD, Plasma Satellite TV with DVD/ VCR, and an extensive collection of complimentary movies for your enjoyment. A table and chairs are available for board games, cards or a private eating area. This comfortable sitting area is complete with a fireplace and walk-out to a lower deck. Here you will find a patio set, comfy lounge chairs, an outdoor fireplace and an inviting rejuvenating hot-tub! The Morning Glory Suite features a luxurious queen bed, exquisite decor in restful tones and heavenly cathedral ceilings. A bar fridge, TV, VCR/DVD, as well as an extensive collection of movies are provided for your convenience. For those that feel the need to keep in touch with the real world we offer free wireless internet. An overhead fan, windows and private entrance insure that even when there isn't a gentle island breeze (which is rare) you are always comfortable.The suite is south facing and the walk out to the upper deck with panoramic views is second to none. Your own private sitting area and morning glories in profusion will have you relaxing for hours. The walk to the lower deck with outdoor fireplace, more comfy chairs and the ever popular hot tub with yet more amazing vistas is mere steps away. The spacious ensuite features a huge shower, double sinks and a restful jucuzzi. Curl up in the plush robes that we offer along with handmade soaps, shampoo, lotion, conditioner, shower gel and caps. Sleep masks, butlers baskets and hair dryers all add to your rejuvenating experience. All guests leave the Morning Glory Suite with memories that will last long after they have returned home.
