Prince Edward Island Information
With only two cities (Charlottetown and Summerside) and seven towns (Alberton, Cornwall, Georgetown, Kensington, Montague, Souris and Stratford), Prince Edward Island is the smallest province, lying in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. As small as it is, there are still tons of places that are definitely worth visiting, like Tignish, Bideford, Cavendish, Wood Islands, and so much more.
If you love art and architecture, or just want to see something that you've never seen before, visit the Bottle Houses in Wellington. The houses are three "fantasy-like" buildings that are made up of about thirty thousand recycled glass bottles of different sizes and colors. The buildings, surrounded by beautiful flower gardens, are a favorite among nature lovers, recyclers and photographers. The Bottle Houses were featured in "Ripley's Believe It or Not" and "1,000 Places to See Before You Die."
If you're looking for a night "in," but still want to do something memorable, visit the Brackley Drive In – a 1950's era drive-in theatre – and catch a great movie. This is a favorite on a summer night on Prince Edward Island! |
