We are about fifteen minutes walk from the shore of Laguna Lake; five minutes walk to the nearest Pasig river ferry station. We are forty minutes by cab from the International airport.
Napindan is located on the banks of the Pasig River where it flows from Laguna Lake. The new C6 circular highway around Manila has been constructed along the shore of the Lake. The highway is raised and forms a barrier protecting the area from the historical seasonal flooding from the lake. Strong flood control measures have been taken along the Pasig river and around the lakeshore. The river itself has been cleaned up beyond recognition.

Depending upon the prevailing wind and weather conditions, the air in Napindan is clear and pristine. The pollution of the great cities of Makati and Manila to the north can be clearly seen, but Napindan in its location beside hundreds of square miles of Laguna Lake, is clear of those major sources of automobile pollution.
Travel in the area ...
Travel from Napindan into local shopping and tourist areas provides a lot of adventures for those new to the Philippines. You can take a tricycle (motor bike with side-car) to the centre of San Joaquin, where you can get a Jeepney to Taguig and then a cab to wherever else you want to go - Market-Market at Fort Bonifacio, to Makati or to Manila.
Or, you can walk five minutes from Napindan Castle and get the regularly scheduled ferry on the Pasig River that plies from Napindan right down to the mouth of the river at Manila Bay, with many stops in between. The ferries are air conditioned and are used by local citizens to commute to work in the central office areas.
Napindan Castle has seven bedrooms and can sleep a maximum of 14 adults. You may rent one room, two rooms, a whole floor to sleep 6 or 8, or even rent the entire house to sleep 14. Check our website for a full breakdown of rates. |
