Buck Valley Ranch LLC Bed & Breakfast, a year round resort located in the Appalachian Mountains of south central Pennsylvania, offers trail riding and other outdoor activities in a secluded setting. We are surrounded by 2000 acres of State Game land. Our rural location offers you peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. You have the opportunity to view flora and fauna in every season. From the large front porch you can watch hummingbirds feed, listen to whippoorwills on a summer night, hear owls screech, turkeys gobble, geese honk and doves coo. Deer can be seen feeding, while fox, rabbits, and squirrels scamper across the fields. If you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of bear or coyote.
Meals are prepared from locally raised meats, fresh vegetables, homemade breads and desserts. Beans and franks are served only upon request! Meals are healthy and filling. All meals are served in the dining room at prearranged times. There is also plenty to snack on in between meals. We can accommodate special dietary requests with advance notice.
The guest house was built around 1930. It is for our guests exclusively. The house has central air (a luxury seldom needed in our cool mountain air) plus several bedrooms have individual air conditioners. There is a common living room, dining room and 1½ shared bathrooms. Guests have access to a refrigerator. Cowboy memorabilia and antiques help make the guest house a comfortable and fun place to stay. There are an abundance of books to read, games to play and things to remember from days gone by.
The four bedrooms can accommodate eight people very comfortably, but if you have a larger group, it will hold up to twelve people. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. There are: Bedroom One with one double bed, Bedroom Two with one double bed and one double/single bunk bed, Bedroom Three with one double bed and one trundle bed and Bedroom Four with one double bed and one single bed (this bedroom is on the first floor).
