Buck Valley Ranch Bed & Breakfast, a year round resort located in the Appalachian Mountains of south central Pennsylvania, offers trail riding and other outdoor activities in a secluded setting. Surrounded by 2000 acres of State Game land, our location offers peace and quiet away from the hustle of urban life. From the large front porch you can watch hummingbirds feed, listen to whippoorwills on a summer night, hear owls screech, turkeys gobble, geese honk and doves coo. Deer can be seen feeding, while fox, rabbits, and squirrels scamper across the fields, and if you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of bear or coyote.
Meals are prepared from locally raised meats, fresh vegetables, homemade breads and desserts. Beans and franks are served only upon request! Meals are healthy and filling. All meals are served in the dining room at prearranged times.
The guest house was built around 1930 and is for our guests exclusively. The four bedrooms can accommodate eight people very comfortably, but if you have a larger group, it will hold up to twelve. The house has central air plus several bedrooms have individual air conditioners. There is a common living room, dining room and 1½ shared bathrooms. Guests have access to a refrigerator. Cowboy memorabilia and antiques help make the guest house a comfortable and fun place to stay. There are an abundance of books to read, games to play and things to remember from days gone by.
