Centered in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, our restored commodious 1860 Italianate Victorian family house and landscaped gardens have regained their elegance and historical significance in the village of Neffsville. Known locally as the BIG YELLOW house, exquisite murals depicting Lancaster of the late 19th Century is showcased within.
Bowman Suite is our most luxurious private comfort, equipped with an extra room and a whirlpool. 4 common rooms (kitchenette, parlor with fireplace and antique organ, grand dining room, library with full entertainment center with DVD, CD, VHS collections.) Following local traditions and those of the original home owner, Dr. E.J. Bowman, music is a vital part of each day. So bring your instruments and play as much as your heart desires. We've stayed @ many bed and breakfast, but The Bowman house ranked far above any of them.
Clean, beautifully decorated, and the Murpheys' were the most hospitable inn keepers we have ever met.
Keep up the awesome work!! We'll be back!
By the way, the food was out of this world too!!

Relaxing, Elegant decor, Welcoming with a nice touch feeling like its your own home away from home. Food Excellent. Very Very Clean. Value for the Bowman Suite was well Worth every $$. Can't wait till next visit.

what a grand house
the murphey's have really put heart into this restoration
breakfasts and afternoon teas are the best... who needs more
heated bathroom floors...Wow!
we look forward to the gardens and pond to be done soon
