Enjoy romance and comfort in Herr Tavern & Publick House, a historic 1815 country inn located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Used as the first Confederate hospital during the "Battle of Gettysburg". The current owner, Steven Wolf purchased the Inn in 1977, and has spent the last quarter century turning it into the marvel it is today. The Tavern shows the care and effort that Steve has put into the restoration. The tavern is a testament to Steve's dedication.
Enjoy fine American Cuisine in the Herr Tavern Restaurant from 11 AM to 9 PM, Monday through Saturday, and from 5 PM to 9 PM on Sunday. Reservations are recommended. The original main house features five dining areas that accommodate twenty to thirty-five guests in each room.
