The Historic Smithton Inn Bed and Breakfast located on Main St. in the heart of Ephrata, PA has been welcoming guests for over 246 years. This cheerful historic stone mansion, with its carefully tended gardens and seven spacious guest rooms, sets the standard for local charm and hospitality. The Smithton is walking distance to restaurants, the Ephrata Cloister, the Ephrata Recreation Center (which you can use for an extra fee) and local shops. You can sit on our front porch and watch the occasional Amish buggy pass by, or take a short drive to covered bridges and Amish Farms. Lancaster County has so much to offer visitors, including amusement parks, museums, galleries, historic sites, wineries, and more. |

We know that one of the best things about staying in a Bed and Breakfast is the BREAKFAST! A typical breakfast at the Smithton Inn includes Colombian coffee & a collection of teas, our signature juice blend & fresh orange juice, a fruit dish, scrumptious Inn baked muffins and breads, signature homemade granola, and a hot entree such as Cinnamon Apple Baked French Toast, Baked Eggs in a Ham Cup, Sausage and Cheese Mini-Frittatas, Bananas Foster Pancakes, Omelets to order or Spinach, Artichoke & Sausage Strata. With prior notice, accommodations can be made for vegetarians. For an extra charge, breakfast can be delivered to your room, or a basket can be made up.

4:00 pm check in. We're happy to check you in early if the room is ready for you. Just let us know your plans so we can be sure to be there for you. |
Check Out Policy: |
11:00 am check out. A later check-out can be arranged by request and depends on the Inn's occupancy. We're happy to give you a little extra time, as long as it doesn't impact our incoming guests. |
Cancellation Policy: |
With 10 days notice, deposit will be returned, minus $15.00 cancellation fee. With less notice, deposit is forfeited if we are unable to rent the room(s). |

For the comfort of fellow guests, we only allow older children in the main house. We do however have a suite with its own private entrance where we allow younger guests. Call for availability. |

“Lucky” (aka Lucky-Dog) is the official mascot of the Smithton Inn. She’s a 4-year-old medium sized dog who loves guests, but really WANTS to be a guard dog. So when guests arrive, you may hear a low grumble or even a bark… which will be quickly followed by Lucky sniffing your leg and ‘granting you’ the opportunity to pet her! Lucky especially enjoys guests who drop food on the floor or allow her to snuggle up to them while reading the paper or watching TV in the sitting room. |
