Tracie's Bed and Breakfast was beautiful, clean, and relaxing. Her hospitality was amazing, as was her cooking. This was mine and my wife's first time at a bed and breakfast, and we will definitely return to Blair Mountain in the future. I would highly recommend Blair Mountain to anyone who is looking to get away for a night or two!!!

So much to say, I hope there isn't a word limit! : ) My fiance and I go to Bed & Breakfasts' once a year. we have 4 kids at home and enjoy a night away to celebrate either our birthdays or an anniversary. This was by far the most beautiful room we've ever stayed in, the pictures do not do justice. we especially enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows that were in the main room and the bathroom. The room is HUGE and has a great big bathroom! I can't express how lovely everything was.
My fiance and I got the honeymoon package (even though we aren't getting married for a while), we like to be spoiled. The package came with wine and a snack tray, breakfast in the room, and a late check-out. we also added chocolate covered strawberries, which Tracie made and were outstanding! we enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi, listening to music, drinking wine and eating chocolate covered strawberries all while watching the night sky! Absolutely amazing! we rented some movies and were accommodated with a portable dvd, which Tracie already had set up for us when we arrived. we were able to watch the movies on the very comfortable love seat and enjoyed the snack tray Tracie had prepared. The room has a REAL fireplace and it was perfect relaxing in front of the flames. It kept the room nice and cozy. The bed was very comfortable.
Tracie made an amazing breakfast and we enjoyed it at a table in front of the windows. we watched the birds while we ate and just relaxed and enjoyed our breakfast thoroughly.
If you can't tell by my review, Blair Mountain is a beautiful house, with spectacular rooms and very hospitable hosts. Tracie was made for this.
On a side note, I enjoyed the wine Tracie had picked out for our package so much that I called back a week later to get the name of it. Tracie remembered me and was very accommodating. Every conversation I had with Tracie left me with a feeling that she really cares about my enjoyment/happiness.
Thanks for the wonderful time and we'll be back next year for our yearly get away. In fact we were discussing doing an entire weekend instead of just 1 night, since we had such a good time!

This was our second visit back to Blair Mountain and we brought another couple with us this time. We weren't let down. Tracie is a gracious hostess and excellent cook. She provided us with directions and made us feel at home. It is a beautiful old home with wonderful character. We'll return!

The inn is beautiful, and our room was spacious and quite lovely...a king-size sleigh bed with plenty of pillows, private bath with a jacuzzi for two, floor to ceiling windows, a cozy sofa and an armoire hiding the TV...all in all, it was gorgeous! The room temperature, however, was unbelievably hot and we had no way to adjust it, nor could the windows be opened to let in some of the frigid night air. We found this rather odd since Tracie, the innkeeper, had told us the room tended to be cold and that we should feel free to use the oil heater. Also, when we were first shown to our room we were told that we could not wear our shoes in the room (because of the ivory wall-to-wall carpeting) and in fact were expected to leave our shoes outside the door. I didn't mind taking off my shoes since I generally do not wear shoes indoors...but, there are folks who would balk at such an odd requirement. Breakfast was imaginative and beautifully presented, but we found the main dish of baked French toast overly sweet and a bit soggy.
Response
I appreciate their detailed response but feel I need to clarify. The room, due to the huge windows, tends to get warm with a sunny day, and being a converted home to a B&B, I try to make them as comfortable as I can. There are TWO windows that can be opened and I have a fan available, and I'm sorry they didn't realize that. Well, after two years in business, I guess one good criticism will help me to be a better innkeeper!! Blessings!

We booked this B&B for our wedding weekend. We stayed in the Dream Suite and our parents stayed in the other rooms. We live locally, so we had the opportunity to check out all the B&Bs around the area before choosing one. Tracie was so friendly and the house just lovely... It was an easy choice! Our room was spotless, and our needs for early arrival were met. Breakfast was incredible, and our family very much enjoyed gathering and chatting in the country dining room after breakfast. The view out the huge windows was soothing. We saw a fox and a deer. Everybody enjoyed their stay; it was the perfect preface to our honeymoon in St. Lucia.
We would recommend this B&B, and we would stay here again...!

We loved the richness and hominess of the inn. It had unbelievable character and was rich with history. Tracey was very welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home immediately. Both of our breakfasts were unique and delicious! We will definately return to Blair Mountain Bed & Breakfast.
