The Pennsbury Inn located in Chadds Ford, PA is an historically prominent bed & breakfast offering exceptional accommodations and activities in the heart of the Brandywine Valley. The B&B is situated on eight acres of sculptured grounds bordered by woodland trails and is only minutes from Delaware and the city of Philadelphia. The Inn proudly offers a blend of colonial heritage and country elegance. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

If you enjoy antiquing, there are dozens of antique shops in the Brandywine Valley! The historical Amish farmlands - and their horse and buggy way of life - is within a 40 minute scenic drive. Approximately 50 minutes away, along the Main Line, you'll see the Barnes Foundation (a stunning collection of art). And for the sports enthusiast, we are located just minutes from excellent horseback riding, canoeing, and golf.

We look forward to hearing from you and welcome the opportunity to meet you!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at The Pennsbury Inn! We stayed in the Winterthur Suite which had an amazing view of the property. The Inn was quaint and charming. Breakfast was delicious and the innkeepers were very hospitable. Thanks for hosting us!

My father, his wife, my partner and I attended a Christmas concert at Longwood Gardens, opting to stay at the Pennsbury Inn. Everyone was delighted by the hospitality of our hosts, the ambience of the inn, and the comfortable rooms in which we stayed. Our stay was completed by a delicious breakfast served in front of a crackling fireplace. I would recommend the Pennsbury Inn to anyone that wishes to stay in a historic home run by the nicest of innkeepers.

We found the Pennsbury Inn a very enjoyably B&B. Our room was decorated beautifully, bed comfortable and bathroom spacious and clean. Chip and Cheryl were the perfect host and hostess, made us feel like we were friends in their home. Breakfasts were great and Cheryl even had a piece of birthday cake waiting for me on our bed when we returned Sat. evening. We would definitely return and refer the Inn. We give it a 5 star*****. Thanks Chip & Cheryl.

Chip and Cheryl were gracious hosts and very hands on. They are the ones that are there to help and serve you, not a disinterested staff person. The Inn is very homey, we felt very comfortable, like being at home. We enjoyed walking through the lovely gardens, picking berries, and talking to the frogs. The back patio with all of the flowers is a great place to have morning coffee. Good central location. Would definitely go back again.

Lovely property in a prime Brandywine Valley location and really lovely innkeepers! Beautiful grounds and gardens, very comfortably furnished (common and private areas) historic home, great food and a perfect balance of accommodation and privacy. Very close to Longwood Gardens and the Brandywine River Museum, also Kennett Square and lots of fine dining. I have stayed at the Pennsbury Inn twice and look forward to going again. Chip and Cheryl are so welcoming and relaxed, very knowledgeable about the local everything and also remarkably intuitive about who needs how much "what" information/attention. Very nice towels and bed linens, also!

This was a charming home with lovely well-tended gardens and patio. Well-located for visits to Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, and Brandywine Valley attractions. Hosts were very helpful with recommendations for sights and restaurants.

Very charming inn with absolutely beautiful gardens--waterfalls, pond, and perennials abound, with many little places to sit and enjoy. The rooms are delightful and the bathrooms well appointed with excellent bath products. The breakfasts offer many options with a flexible timeframe. The innkeepers could not possibly be more accommodating, offering to make dinner reservations, provide advice and directions, etc. This is my second stay in three months! They also have a great parlor which can be reserved for your own small group of family or friends.

What a wonderful find this place was! So peaceful and welcoming! The Pennsbury Inn was definitely all I was hoping for when I made reservations to stay here to break my car trip between New Hampshire and North Carolina - going and coming. Strolling through the gardens was just the thing to refresh my soul after he strains of travel. And the comfortable atmosphere provided a much needed restful night of sleep. Even Tucker was the perfect gentleman host to my dog Baby, showing her around and introducing her to the pond! We all had a wonderful visit and will certainly make it a point to be back!
