Welcome to Locust Brook Lodge Bed & Breakfast Inn in Butler, PA. This tranquil lodge is on a 100-acre farm, yet just minutes from major highways. Some rooms offer Jacuzzi Tubs, one room wheelchair accessible. The setting is the perfect location for group events, weddings and family reunions.

We have several different sizes and layouts for our rooms. Each one has a stunning view and three have direct access to an outdoor patio. In addition, television and telephones are available in four of our rooms. Three are adjacent to a common area with a big screen TV and a pool table. Four rooms are equipped with a jacuzzi tub. One unit is a self-contained double room for families with children. We also have a crib and cots that can be set up in many of our other rooms.

After a peaceful night in a bed so comfortable some of our guests have wanted to take them home, awake to a full home cooked breakfast, featuring farm fresh ingredients and home made bread, accompanied by delicious coffee or tea.

This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. I will never stay in another motel again. The woman's house was IMMACULATE. She was very nice. It felt like we were at home. The food was very good and I reccommend anyone going into butler to stay at her lodge

Amazing place! So quiet and peaceful. I am so glad I found this place, our trip was a mission to pick up my new dogs. The common area was superb for the meeting and exchange. One dog friendly place for sure. I will definitley come back if I get to PA again. I highly recommend this place. Clean, comfy, relaxing, plenty to keep you entertained. Food was great, our hosts warm and welcoming. To be honest, I want to go back next week! I could stay there for a long time and still love it!

From the doe that crossed the driveway upon our arrival to the delicious breakfast of waffles with a banana pecan sauce & sausage, juices & hot beverages the next morning we were totally relaxed. Carol was most gracious & easy to converse with. We enjoyed the company of the other guests at brkfst. but had total privacy in our room & were not aware of any sounds from other areas. It was raining & breezy so we did not make use of the outside areas but the view from the entrance seating area was open & expansive with hills & trees in the distance. We plan on visiting again when shopping in the area. All the things I look for: cleanliness, comfort, hospitality, and reasonable cost - and then some. I heartily recommend this B&B.

My husband & I wanted to try something new--we visit MANY b&b's and we decided to go east instead of west....what a wonderful experience!! Carol and her friends were great company; the family feel was what we needed and we also didn't feel pressured to do anything that we didn't want to do. Breakfast was great and we truly enjoyed ourselves; the room rate for a New Year's outing was WELL within our budget and we didn't have to go anywhere to get anything...she had everything right there for us!! We are already booking our next stay..THANKS Carol & Family....U guys rock!‎

A gem of a B & B. In an area where nice lodging is hard to find, the Locust Brook Lodge was a nice surprise. The rooms are very nice and there are many options to fit your needs. Even a two bedroom suite. There is a common room with a TV and pool table which is great for kids. The inn is located amidst farmland and there is an abundance of wildlife around. Very peaceful! Carol was so accommodating. I enjoyed conversation with her. She was like a second mom. The breakfasts were truly wonderful and were probably the highlight of my stay. You have to try her banana bread! A wonderful place if you want a homey environment. I would not stay anywhere else when I am in the area

We enjoyed our stay. Carol the Innkeeper was very pleasant and greeted us right away as we began our stay. The breakfast was wonderful. It was nice that an area outside was designated for smokers since my husband is a smoker. He did not feel as though he was an outcast because he smokes.

A very charming B&B. The place was bustling when we arrived, but it was still quiet and inviting. The location is great for visiting Pittsburgh or the surrounding countryside. The room was very clean and the breakfast was great. Nice view from the front porch and cows and horses to boot. This was a nice place to get away from it all.

The inn and location are very nice but there was not too much in the way of hospitality. The b&b is located on a farm so you feel like you are in the middle of the country, but its only a short drive to Pittsburgh, about 30 minutes or so. Yes, you got breakfast in the morning, but it would have been nice if we would have been spoken to. This was our first bed and breakfast experience, not outstanding!!! I don't know if the inn keeper thought we were young and didn't want to bother with us... but, that's kinda rude. I'm sure we'll do a b&b again sometime, but not here. It almost seemed like it was being managed, not owned by a caring inn keeper.

Response
The best part of innkeeping is the guests I get to meet. Sometimes it's hard to judge if they are shy and need to be drawn out, or if they want quiet time together. Obviously I made a bad call this time.

I have stayed in B&B's for over 35 years. I lived in England & they are very common there. I loved this B&B & the owner could not have been more lovely. I booked 3 rooms, as we were in town for a wedding shower. Each was clean & the beds were WONDERFUL! Breakfast was delicous. Snacks were available & the large TV was good for a movie. We even saw a spotted fawn in the back yard. I definately recommend this B&B in the woods. Carol & family.
