I am enjoying my last morning here as I get ready for my return trip. I am usually here 4 or 5 times a year and stay at Locust Brook Lodge each time. I love being in the country with cows, chickens, deer, and stars, and also, being close to shopping and restaurants. Yesterday, I shopped at the outlet mall in Grove City.....less than a half hour drive, even with a detour. I have stayed in each room at least once and still can not choose a favorite

I have NEVER written a review, however I would be remiss if I did not address the travesty written by Locust Brook’s previous recent guests. Thank God that their reviews DID NOT deter us from our plans to stay at Locust Brook; otherwise, we would have missed one of our most memorable getaways!!!! I have NO IDEA what the other family is referencing, but perhaps in their bereavement they were venting their pain/frustrations; I am sorry for their loss. (It is my belief that “hurting people, hurt people”) However, on the contrary WE feel that we discovered a wonderful, peaceful retreat!!!! My husband took me to this delightful country setting to celebrate my birthday and Mother’s Day! We had such a wonderful time as Carol waited on us hand and foot….of which I am totally unaccustomed. We arrived much later than we anticipated, but were greeted with such warmth and friendliness indicative of turning “home”. We stayed in the Songbird Room and opened both windows to enjoy a gentle cross-breeze while we slept. Each morning, we were greeted with a comical symphony of roosters crowing in seeming competition. This was hilarious as one seemed to have a bit of laryngitis, which caused us to laugh first thing each morning. There’s nothing better than walking downstairs to the dining room in my slippers to a nice, warm breakfast, a hot cup of coffee, and Carol (our hostess) doting on us like long, lost relatives. Her breakfasts were so delicious, I HAD to ask for the recipe for one of them! We felt very comfortable and appreciated. Carol was helpful in giving directions to local attractions and yummy places to eat. I also enjoyed talking with Carol’s daughter, “Ronni”. She does lovely work on the landscape. It was quite obvious that the late spring has deterred her from planting flowers in the hanging baskets on the covered porch, but I was able to peek at flat of lovely blooms awaiting their transplant. We were blessed to meet Carol’s visiting sisters and one of her sons as well, and ALL of them were friendly and made us feel welcome! If I am ever within 50 miles of Locust Brook in the future, you can be sure that I’ll be making our reservations there again. I am eager to bring the rest of MY family too.

This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. I will never stay in another motel again. The woman's house was IMMACULATE. She was very nice. It felt like we were at home. The food was very good and I reccommend anyone going into butler to stay at her lodge

Amazing place! So quiet and peaceful. I am so glad I found this place, our trip was a mission to pick up my new dogs. The common area was superb for the meeting and exchange. One dog friendly place for sure. I will definitley come back if I get to PA again. I highly recommend this place. Clean, comfy, relaxing, plenty to keep you entertained. Food was great, our hosts warm and welcoming. To be honest, I want to go back next week! I could stay there for a long time and still love it!

From the doe that crossed the driveway upon our arrival to the delicious breakfast of waffles with a banana pecan sauce & sausage, juices & hot beverages the next morning we were totally relaxed. Carol was most gracious & easy to converse with. We enjoyed the company of the other guests at brkfst. but had total privacy in our room & were not aware of any sounds from other areas. It was raining & breezy so we did not make use of the outside areas but the view from the entrance seating area was open & expansive with hills & trees in the distance. We plan on visiting again when shopping in the area. All the things I look for: cleanliness, comfort, hospitality, and reasonable cost - and then some. I heartily recommend this B&B.

My husband & I wanted to try something new--we visit MANY b&b's and we decided to go east instead of west....what a wonderful experience!! Carol and her friends were great company; the family feel was what we needed and we also didn't feel pressured to do anything that we didn't want to do. Breakfast was great and we truly enjoyed ourselves; the room rate for a New Year's outing was WELL within our budget and we didn't have to go anywhere to get anything...she had everything right there for us!! We are already booking our next stay..THANKS Carol & Family....U guys rock!

A gem of a B & B. In an area where nice lodging is hard to find, the Locust Brook Lodge was a nice surprise. The rooms are very nice and there are many options to fit your needs. Even a two bedroom suite. There is a common room with a TV and pool table which is great for kids. The inn is located amidst farmland and there is an abundance of wildlife around. Very peaceful!
Carol was so accommodating. I enjoyed conversation with her. She was like a second mom. The breakfasts were truly wonderful and were probably the highlight of my stay. You have to try her banana bread!
A wonderful place if you want a homey environment. I would not stay anywhere else when I am in the area
