The Hartzell House had the warm, friendly, cozy, and accomodating feeling that we were hoping to find. The owners were wonderful and thoughtful, taking the time to accommodate us with anything that we may have needed. A great's night sleep in a comfortable bed, with excellent breakfast.

We were very impressed visually, with the level of architectural details and the decor and wall finishes. We were very impressed with the efforts by both Kathryn and David to make us feel comfortable and to accomodate our needs in every way, including adjusting recipes to meet dietary restrictions, and waking up at the crack of dawn to feed us before we went to Fallingwater for an early tour. Nothing was too much for them. It was a very enjoyable stay for us.

A Wonderful experience. Hartzell House is located on a quiet street in Addison, PA. and features beautifully appointed CLEAN rooms with very comfortable beds. The innkeepers Kitty and David were very accomodating to our comfort and dietary needs and treated us like special guests in their beautiful, very tastefully appointed home. The delicious gourmet breakfasts featured fresh home-made pastries which by themselves are worth the price of admission. The room was warm and romantic. Hartzell House is close to many area attractions such as Falling Water, Kentuck Knob, Fort Necessity, and Ohiopyle State Park. If you are considering a visit to any of these attractions in the beautiful Laurel Highlands, treat yourself to a stay at Hartzell House Bed and Breakfast.

Not a stranger to B&B travel, i was totally impressed from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The atmosphere was everything you could possible anticipate. Mr. & Mrs. Stemac, in their short time as B&B operators, have taken the experience to a level all other should hope to reach. You can not be disappointed by a stay at the Hartzell House.

Kitty & David have created a wonderful, warm, welcoming bed and breakfast in the historic Hartzell House. The energy of the house is calming and genuine and they have designed a beatiful space with all the amenities necessary and more! (snacks, hair dryer, great CDs to listen to in the parlor, etc.). As hosts, they were extremely accomodating of our schedule and were polite, yet engaging. The breakfast was OUSTANDING, delicious and presented with artistry. I would recommend this B&B to anyone on a visit to the Laurel Highlands, Fallingwater, or simply on a weekend getaway. If I do get back to the area, I will definitely return.

I have taken care of the 'bit of dust' on the lamp-side table, and will beware of it in the future! Thanks for the input.

The food, the family, the ambiance were so utterly delightful that I have since become friends with the proprietors! Every aspect of our stay was beyond our greatest expectations, and the family pooch Eddie was the finishing touch! A perfectly home with perfect attention to the tiniest detail in the rooms, the house, and the food! Kitty and Dave Stemac were born to host a B&B!

We have stayed at 15 B&Bs in various states and The Hartzell House was definitely in the top 3. The hosts are gracious and attentive to detail. The food and atmosphere are superb! We could not have had a better weekend.

My wife and I loved the house and town and the host's were spectacular. Everything was above our expectations, but their hospitality was especially of note. We stayed in the Traveller's room and found it to be very warm and inviting, and that was just the decor. Heated by a radiator, it was perfectly comfortable; not over-hot, not drafty. My wife found the beautiful vanity with a sink basin attached very convenient. Having arrived late, we went to dinner at an area restaurant that was recommended by Dave and Kitty. It was a horribly snowy night that made driving nearly impossible, but when we returned there was a nice fire in the parlor where my wife and I enjoyed reading while munching on treats and sipping delicious merlot. I could go on and on about this beautiful house and the wonderful host and hostess but everyone should really experience this lovely place for themselves.

It was everything one wants in a B&B--beautifuly cared for 100 year old house furnished with antiques in a comfortable way, not at all fussy; quiet location away from the bustle of the city; and most important warm and friendly inn keepers who also are talented cooks offering the best breakfasts we have ever had in our years of frequenting B&Bs. We hardily recommend the Hartzell House. Kitty even made us a special dessert for our anniversary.

We loved it! Great place and wonderful folks running it. We'll tell all our friends.

The innkeepers are real gems, the location is quiet and near lots of activities, the rooms and public spaces are spacious and interesting. They are still renovating the dining room and exterior, but that did not detract from our stay, and the inn will only get better. Plus, the innkeepers are environmentally conscious, an added bonus that makes me feel better about staying there.

The Hartzell house is a beautiful and warm place to visit. Kitty and David were friendly and took care of our every need. Breakfast was outstanding. Evening wine and deserts were a bonus. We were pampered and treated like honored guests.

The Hartzel House B&B is lovely and inviting. The hosts, Kitty and David were so hospitable. The breakfast was better than the finest restaurant. It was not the usual fare -- they put thought into both the menu and presentation. The house has interesting painting techniques on the walls which make it surely one-of-a-kind. A very quiet street makes it an all-around relaxing and cozy place to stay.

This was the best get away! Being parents of two young children we need some alone and relaxing time, and we found it here at the Hartzell House. David and Kitty were wonderful. The first night there they offered to make us dinner, so we could relax and not worry about driving anywhere. What a bonus! The service and hospitality was over the top and the decore was beautiful. The location was perfect. Close to an outdoor mecca, beautiful and serene. A Wonderful and relaxing get away.

A real find. The exquisite food, which included not only breakfast but dinner, tea and drinks, was a great surprise. Kitty and Dave were the perfect blend of friendliness and hospitality while also providing privacy. A beautiful old house remodeled in keeping with the original style. Close to skiing, rafting, hiking..
