Located in Pacific City, Oregon, The Craftsman Bed & Breakfast welcomes you to experience the beautiful Oregon Coast in style, grace and comfort. Whether for a simple escape from the chaos of "the city" or to celebrate a special or romantic event, we will make your stay memorable. Built in 1921, The Craftsman B&B was renovated in 2004-2005 to return the character of the period and modernize the workings. Classic Arts and Crafts elements were incorporated - from the Greene & Greene inspired cloud lift detail of the railings and gate to the wainscoting typical of a Gustav Stickley house.
All four Craftsman rooms are located on the second floor. Each room features cozy queen beds with down comforters and an attached private bathroom. Visit our website for a virtual tour. Enjoy the hot tub located in the cottage style garden. All the plants and design are typical of the period and the costal zone. Our breakfasts will not leave you wondering what you will have for lunch. Fresh baked scones or muffins will start you off as you enjoy one of five varieties of espresso or coffee from our Miele Nespresso coffee machine. The creative and hearty meal will fill you up to take on the day. Please let us know if you have food allergies and we will do our best to accommodate you. Contact us for our whole house and retreat weekend rates.

Our stay at the Craftsman B&B in Pacific City exceeded all expectations. I wanted a restful venue. I supervise therapists at an agency in Ventura County whom assess adolescents for suicidal and homicidal ideation. The work is exceddingly stressful. My cousin traveled with me on a road trip to WA state where our relatives live. She had never viewed the OR coast and therefore we chose the Craftmans B&B for the proximity to Portland and as it was the venue most affordable. The stay was erudite, from the venue itself, to the personal touch and the marvelous cuisine. I hope to visit there again one day!

We really enjoyed the Craftsman B & B in Pacific City. It was comfortable, friendly and historically very interesting. The innkeepers have worked very hard to create a wonderful experience for their guests. Pacific City was the perfect atmosphere for our quiet weekend away from the big city stress.
We would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone, but it's more fun to keep it a secret!

My wife and I visited the Craftsman Bed and Breakfast on our honeymoon. It was perfect - it was unseasonably cold and stormy the entire time, so we had a great excuse to stay inside and enjoy the sounds of the wind and rain outside.
Our room was quite large ('the prairie room') with a absolutely massive bathroom and claw foot tub. The room also had a small adjoining deck. Our room and the house were very tastefully decorated in a somewhat modern-meets-classic style ('classic and clean') though the house was completely remodeled to match it's 1930's craftsman history - one of the two inn keepers is a woodworker. Overall, the space was very comfortable to be in.
Lots of small touches 'made' the trip. Brownies when we showed up, exceptionally good breakfast, constant offers of coffee or espresso, new wineglasses in the room in the morning, even though we had brought wine from the wedding and hadn't purchases a bottle from the inn; a bag of cookies to eat on the road after we left... and genuinely cheerful innkeepers! Oh - a business card with our keys, so if anything happened to us in town, we could call the house, and arrange for a ride home, information on the local area, or possibly bail from jail.
The best bit - there isn't a doily in the house. This isn't a B and B for the doily crowd - it will work well for couples looking for a fair-priced, classy, well run getaway spot on the coast. At only two hours from Portland, it's only a stone's throw to most of the Oregon coast area.
The owner's commitment to green practices and offsets is admirable as well, but isn't "in the way of the experience" at all.... there are no posted signs or speeches about recycling, and you don't have to turn the compost pile before you get breakfast... you just know that the owners take a scooter when possible over a car to save fuel... which is nice.
Highly recommended.

The Craftsman is clean and comfortable and a great bargain for the Oregon coast. Mike, the owner, is an excellent chef and very welcoming. We had a gourmet breakfast after sitting in the hot tub sipping port from his extensive collection the night before. The website gave us ideas on activities that were excellent and Mike sent us on a great hike on our day of departure. We were recommended The Delicate Palate, a gourmet restaurant across the street, and I had the best duck dish I have ever eaten. A wonderful experience at any price and even better and the very reasonable rates they charge.

The Craftsman B&B is the nicest I have ever stayed at. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting. the attention to detail that Mike put into restoring this beautiful old craftsman house is remarkable. Including heated bathroom floors, beautiful bed linens, bath towels and very comfortable bed. The restaurant across the street is fabulous, and not just because I was bicycling from Seattle to Florence, it truly is delicious. Highly recommend the Craftsman B&B whether you are biking or driving treat yourself!

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful B & B on the Oregon Coast, you really must stay at the Craftsman B&B. This lovingly restored Craftsman home, near the beach and one of the finest restaurants on the Oregon Coast is a perfect stop for weary travlers. When we arrived to the smell of fresh baked brownies and Mike's excellent customer service, we knew we'd made a great choice and it only got better from there. We had a short walk to the beach and the the best dinner of our entire stay on the coast. The rooms are comfortable, and roomy, and the period tubs are delightful for soaking. Breakfast the next morning far exceeded our expectations and Mike's latte's are the best. We are already telling friends about this exceptional B&B and give the Craftsman our highest endorsement! Thanks Mike, Laura, and Oscar!

Mike was a wonderful host!! Everything was very nice, clean, comfortable we felt right at home. The rooms were beautiful and the soaking tub and hot tub were a definite plus! Breakfast was absolutely delicious and better than anywhere dining out. The coffee was wonderful as well, great lattes Mike! There are several choices for dining within walking distance, the Bistro across the street was incredible! We love Pacific City and have discovered a new treasure in the Craftsman Inn. We will definitely return and bring our friends and family.

My wife, friends and I rode out bicycles from Salem, Oregon to Pacific City. After a long ride, we rolled into the B&B and were thrilled. Mike was extremely friendly and helpful- and even going above and beyond to provide the best customer service. From making coffee for us, to setting aside some space in his garage for our bikes, to doing a load of laundry (bike clothes)- to shipping some items back to Salem - he did everything to make us comfortable. For the accommodations themselves- the rooms were really cute- and the bed, linens and towels- to die for. Everything was so soft and comfortable. Being able to sleep well is very important to us and the environment was A+. Breakfast was delicious and got us fueled for the ride back to Salem- and the coffee contraption was a hoot! Make sure to check out the book showing how the Craftsman was remodeled- amazing!
When you visit- try the Delicate Palate- almost right across the street for some great food! With their new head chef- the food is excellent- like the Silver Grille in Silverton (When Jeff was head chef)!
When we return to the coast- we will definitely be making another trip to the Craftsman. Thanks Mike!!!!

Exactly what I wanted, quiet, dignified, easy walk to the beach and Pelican brewpub. I wanted, and got, a relaxing day away from the everyday routine. Breakfast was leisurely, and delightful. I would without hesitation recommend it to anyone.
