Zen Garden Bed & Breakfast in Manzanita, Oregon provides two deluxe suites, each with queen sized beds and private, ensuite bathrooms with tubs and showers, televisions, (DVD or VHS only), small refrigerators and tea and coffee making equipment. Breakfast is served to you in your suite. Eggs, bacon, toast, marmalade, orange juice, omelets, crepes, pastries, fruit, your choice.
We are half a block from level access to the Manzanita seven mile beach. This lovely beach is only a minute’s walk from your room. Guests often walk along the sand before breakfast.
Across the street is the pine forest of Nehalem Bay State Park. The park has extensive trails leading to the bay, both through the woods and across open sand dunes. It is a quiet, secluded place and home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, elk, pelicans and bald eagles.
You can enjoy the privacy of the Zen Garden and patio to sunbathe or read or simply listen to the ocean in a sheltered place. The Zen bath is a fresh water soaking bath for two, and must be reserved in advance by the hour.
Every season has its charm. Fall has mists and spiders webs covered in dew, some very warm days and some wild days with the flying geese in great flocks high up in the sky. Winters have a magical pale light, peaceful calm days or storms and magnificent sunsets. Spring has migrating geese flying north, beautiful flowers, huge clouds and marvellous walking weather. And summer has the long light,low tides and warm lazy days for lying on the beach. |
