My room was lovely, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. My sister adored her room and never wants to stay anywhere else in the area, even more so because they are pet-friendly. I didn't try the gourmet coffees and teas, but I was delighted to be able to have hot chocolate before going to bed. There were several varieties of tasty fresh pastries from local bakeries, as advertised, but I preferred the daily treats that Susan made. I enjoyed having fresh fruit for breakfast on the second-floor veranda. I appreciated the convenience of a refrigerator, microwave, and toaster in the guest kitchen, as well as the instant hot water. The hosts / owners were friendly and helpful, their dog Abby behind the front counter was delightfully welcoming while also well-behaved, and all the guests I encountered were friendly, making for a very friendly atmosphere. There were books, videos, and games on shelves on the second floor to borrow if one desired. We loved the place.

We actually stayed over the weekend before and the weekend after Thanksgiving 2011 on way to meet up with family in California. We live in the northern part of the state and this is a perfect place to break up the trip. This wasn't our first trip, but the first one with our dog who wanted us to tell you what a great time he had. He loved the biscuits he got in his goodie bag! We had an absolutely delightful time as we always do and are already looking forward to our next trip. We were anxious about traveling with our furry friend, but Robert and Susan made sure his every need was tended to.

This is a First-Class B&B. My wife and I have stayed at dozens of inns over all the country and this one is perfect. Bob and Susan come from a life-long career in the service industry and really know what they are doing. The place is charming, affordable, welcoming and even pet friendly. Not only that, but it's location is remarkable. It's convenient to Medford, wine country, the Shakespeare festival, Crater Lake and Klamath Falls. And once you stay in Jacksonville, it won't matter where you're from, the first thought in your mind will be, "I love it! I want to live here!" The rooms are immaculate and well appointed so much so we had to pinch ourselves twice for the luck we had stumbling upon the Magnolia. Designer chocolates were waiting for us as well as a great pet welcoming basket of toys, treats and blankets. Wow, seriously. Since the structure was always meant as a place of relaxation and recovery, it's not a inn that been superimposed on an old house. The upstairs has a great kitchen and dining area and there's a wonderful second floor balconey to hang out on with a glass of wine after a long day. If you are planning on staying ANYWHERE in the Medford/Ashland/Grants Pass/Applegate area, you won't find a better place. I guarantee it.

The hosts are super here - definitely the best room in Jacksonville Oregon! We would have liked a hot breakfast instead of Continental, but the baked goods were locally made and very delicious. Our room was adjacent to the kitchen and the common balcony, so it was a bit less private than other B&Bs we've visited. Plus some of the other guests were less than courteous at 6:30 am! Overall, we recommend the Magnolia Inn for anyone planning a visit to Jacksonville Oregon. It's close to everything - walk to shopping, dining, and the renouned Britt Festival amphitheater. Stay at the Magnolia Inn and see for yourselves!
