Spring is sprung! It’s time to be thinking about fly fishing. The Williamson River is within 15 minutes drive time and if you have a good arm, you could throw a rock into the Wood River. Both are great fly fishing rivers. We can put you in contact with area guides or make the arrangements for you. Season on the Wood opens April 23, on the Williamson, May 28.
Most of the snow is gone down here in the Basin but they still have several feet up at Crater Lake National Park. We are at the peak of the waterfowl migration season and the white pelicans are back. Around our house are flocks of Red-winged Blackbirds eating us out of house and home, as well as American Robins, Stellar's Jays, Black-billed Magpies and a House Finch or two?
We are a pet friendly inn. This is a non-smoking facility. We can book 1/2 day or full day fly-fishing trips with local guides. (Also canoe trips, rafting trips and water fowl hunting). GREAT bicycling tours abound in the area.
