Welcome to the Duncan-Quinn House Bed and Breakfast located in beautiful Niagra-on-the Lake, Ontario. Peter and Jane Griffiths invite you to experience our warm Niagara hospitality. Whether you visit our town to savour the ambience of world-class theatre, award-winning wineries or for a romantic getaway, the Duncan-Quinn House will offer you a place to relax and unwind on your vacation.
Duncan-Quinn House was inspired by Colonial days gone by. The inn is similar to the Old Williamsburg Colonial houses and early Niagara-on-the Lake homes of yester year. The interior schemes that bring the most pleasure are those that evoke a sense of the past in their combination of subdued colors, elegant lines, and motifs borrowed from traditional late 19th-century English colonial and French design.
By using a combination of period, vintage, and reproduction English, Canadian and American Colonial furnishings the experience is complete. With the addition of Oak floors, mullioned high windows, reproduction antique doors, high ceilings, and hand-stenciled furniture, the fantasy takes shape. Classic Georgian Colonial exterior architecture with dormer windows and clapboard siding all lend itself to this period and style. We have strived to create quaint, rooms ensuring our quests feel this little bit of history. Duncan-Quinn House offers comfort and tranquility while you stay in historic Niagara-on-the Lake. |

What an amazing experience, and we do mean experience. We were looking for a weekend getaway to relax, celebrate and explore. The experience started just arriving at the wonderful setting of the Duncan-Quinn House. A wonderful period looking house in a quite area with an exceptional property. The inside was just as charming and warm. Decorated in period furnishings, wall coverings and tastefully displayed treasures.
The Hosts, Peter and Jane Griffiths, gave us a warm and inviting welcome. We were treated to a walk around the common area of the house and showed us to our room. What a private, appealing and comfortable room we had. After getting settled in we were ready to explore the Niagara-On-The-Lake area. Peter and Jane found out our interests and provided us with maps, cards and great advice on what to see and where to go.
Their knowledge of the area was seconded only by the great reputation they have with merchants in the area. Knowing where to go and what to see heightened the experience we had.
The evenings were topped off with Peter and Jane taking a genuine interest in what we did and wanting to hear about the exploits of our day. Each morning was something to look forward to. We were pampered from the time we came down for coffee/juice. The setting at the table was very impressive and made us feel special. The food was divine, both Peter and Jane must have a culinary background. There was as much (or as little) breakfast for both of us. From fresh fruit, fresh scones and muffins, granola and yogurt to a variety of prepared eggs, everything had a unique but delicious flavor. If anyone finds out any of their secrets please share them with us. As we prepared to leave for the day, Peter and Jane made sure we had everything we needed to have a wonderful day.
We came to Duncan-Quinn house a little stressed and looking forward spending time together. We left refreshed, relaxed, feeling special and looking forward to a return visit.
Thank you Peter and Jane for a terrific time.

What a wonderful time we had at the Duncan-Quinn House. This was our second visit and we look forward to many more.
Thank you Peter and Jane for your warm hospitality and your accomodating of our dietary requests. We had requested a wheat free, gluten free, hypo-allergenic diet due to recent changes in health. Peter and Jane went over and above to ensure these requests were met.
The food was so fresh and so delicious! Peter and Jane also made sure to ask if everything was ok as they were willing to make any changes needed to ensure this dietary request.
They also made sure that our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed to have a wonderful visit.
Thank you so very much Peter and Jane for your outstanding service! We had such a fantastic time and look forward to coming back again and again!
Sincerely,
Marybeth and Troy Haines-Corupe

This was the most charming stay! Peter and Jane overlook no detail. They are warm and friendly, provide a beautiul place to stay and start your day with lucious breakfasts. Everything is meticulous and well-cared for. This is a wonderful place to stay and I will definitely return. They are well versed about the area and make you feel like a part of their family.

If you're looking for a cozy, lovely get-a-way, this is the inn to go to. We've stayed at many b&bs over the years and none compare to the hospitality that Jane and Peter showed us. Every detail was thought of - fresh flowers in the room, breakfasts tailored to what we liked, the use of their bikes, even anniversary chocolates and a card. It's a 5min bike ride to the main town where there are cute shops, theatre and restaurants (but be sure to eat at Stone Road Grill, too, which is a block away from the inn.) Niagra-on-the Lake has a ton of places to stay, but Duncan-Quinn House is the one that will make your vacation memorable. We can't wait to go back!

We loved staying at Duncan Quinn House. It made us feel we were at home with a 5 star hotel service. The rooms are lovely, beautifully decorated. Breakfast was awesome, it loved the homemade muffins. And above all, Peter and Jane are great people! I definitely recommended it.
