On historic Catawba Island in the heart of Ohio's Vacationland...SunnySide Tower Bed & Breakfast Inn is situated between Catawba's Miller Ferry Dock and the exclusive Catawba Island Club (CIC), this wonderfully decorated bed and breakfast inn lies at the gateway to the world-famous Lake Erie Islands. Guests enjoy quick and easy access to boating, swimming, Put-in-Bay, Cedar Point, and several State Parks.
We feature five luxurious rooms with three of these consisting of multiple bedroom suites with private bathrooms that create great flexibility for our whole-house gatherings.
SunnySide Tower is one of the few original landmarks remaining on Catawba Island. Built in 1879, this classic Victorian farmhouse began as the personal residence for one of Catawba's first successful businessmen, Mr. Nathanial Hadden. The farm had over 10,000 fruit trees and additions to the home were made with every successful growing season.

Many kudos to Anna and Kevin (our host and hostess) for making my sister and my getaway such a pleasure. The Sunnyside far exceeded our expectations!!! The Inn was so charming - we enjoyed the Vineyard Suite with its wonderful view, private balcony and mini frig (which housed our vino and nibblies perfectly). After a hot day and many miles of walking on Catabwa and Put-In-Bay we returned to enjoy snacks and a glass of wine at the Inn's beautiful back yard. Anna even upgraded our table with a lovely table cloth! We had plans to walk a short distance to see the sunset when our hosts offered us a ride to a private beach to view it. Not only was the sunset spectacular that night, but we were lucky enough to have an almost perfectly full moon as well. Our hosts took us to the other side of the island to view the moon rise glistening over Lake Erie. What a night!!! The next morning we were treated to an outdoor breakfast of fresh fruit, yogart and an array of jams / jellies!! (our choice to have this great light breakfast despite Anna's plea to cook us whatever we wished ) Don't miss this great getaway location amidst the many busy tourist activities we felt miles away from the crowds at this great venue.

The B&B is in a lovely home that was built in 1879. The atmosphere is homely and inviting. While the B&B was wonderful, it was Anna and Kevin, the innkeepers, that made the visit so special. They were very friendly and extremely helpful. Not only did they give us suggestions for sightseeing activities but made dining recommendations - calling the establishments to confirm that they were open for business. They went over and above in every way to make our stay pleasant. They are also great cooks! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay at SunnySide Tower B&B.

When I made the reservations, I told John it was our anniversary. He talked to me about a gourmet dinner for the evening so I decidedto go with that as well. Not only was everything well above my expectations, we had the absolute most wonderful time of our lives! John bought us a bouquet of flowers and he serenaded us with his guitar and his singing. He offered several times for us to stop him when we were ready but listening to him was a real treat! The chef was also superb! He served us a 6-course meal the evening of our stay and it was beyond perfect! It was impeccable! The ingredients were fresh, the service was marvelous and the company was extremely pleasant. We highly, highly recommend this B&B and take the gourmet dinner if offered! There was a nominal charge for this. However, my husband who is a chef, also highly recommended this. The service, quality, taste and presentation was worth so much more than the cost. We can't wait to return to Sunny Side Towers!
