From the time we arrived we felt very comfortable and at ease. The room was very comfortable and relaxing. Some very nice touches were the notebooks with local information and various tours that could be taken starting and ending at Garden Gate. Another very special event was the evening campfire that gave the guests to relax, and relate their activities of the day and reccomendations for other events.

Herb and Carol make you feel at home and pay attention to the details. From the bedside mint chocolate to all the extras, it is paradise.

The Garden Gate Get-A-Way B & B is a beautiful, peaceful setting to relax and enjoy the quiet while also having the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of activities, such as horseback riding, dinner at an Amish home, massage, shopping, tours, wineries, visiting local farms, etc. There is even a nearby animal ranch where you can hand-feed a wide variety of animals from a horse drawn wagon. This was by far one of the best overnight stays that I have had the pleasure to experience!

Herb and Carol thought of everything! It is beautifully landscaped and wonderfully decorated. We wanted for nothing. We want to go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this B&B in the heart of Ohio's Amish country. Our room was super-clean and comfortable. Carol and Herb Steffe's hospitality and attention to detail shows in the many amenities available in the room and in the other areas of the inn. At the delicious breakfasts and around the evening campfires, Carol and Herb shared their knowledge of the local culture and provided expert help in planning sight-seeing itineraries. This was our first visit to Gadren Gate Get-A-Way, but I hope it will not be our last.

This was our first experience with a B & B. I am so happy we chose Garden Gate. This was for our celebration of 50 years of marriage. The Innkeepers were delightful, food was excellent, rooms were beautiful. We were very comfortable and enjoy the nightly campfire with the other guests. It gave us a chance to catch up with each other and give kudos to various restaurants and sights to see. I anxiously await another stay with Garden Gate. The Amish country is beautiful and it is well worth the trip.

Herb & Carol are wonderful hosts. The B&B was very relaxing, clean, and comfortable. Dining recommendations at Table was exceptional. Their knowledge of the area and self guided tours (as we preferred) was easy to follow & well organized. Lots of R&R which is what we wanted. Amenities to the cabin added a special touch. Thank you for a lovely, memorable 2 nights.

Very nice little place and very nice owners/hosts. A number of little amenities (TV, campfire, Amish dinner and tour) that add up to a lot.
