We stayed in a cabin. It was nicely furnished, clean, and well restored. The whole atmosphere was relaxing and homey. But it was nice to be close to Pilot Knob State Park and other things to do, although just sitting outside with a book would do nicely as well. Soppers Restaurant in the town of Pilot Mountain was great, as were the breakfasts at the inn.

I had the opportunity to stay at Pilot Knob Inn while in North Carolina on business. I couldn't have had a better place to stay. With the pressure of the business that I was there for it was a sincere relief to return to my home away from home each afternoon and evening. I was treated like family, the accomdations couldn't have been better, and breakfast was prompt, delicious, and complete with good company.
I'll recommend Pilot Knob Inn to others and can only hope that business has me in that area again so that I can revisit!

We were extremely pleased with the accomodations. The atmosphere was just right for our occasion of celebrating our anniversary. We have decided that Bed & breakfasts are the way to go over hotel/motels. We will definitely be going back in the very near future for a longer stay!

My husband and I eloped and were looking for a place to spend a couple of days before getting back to the real world. Pilot Knob Inn was perfect - the cabins were rustic, comfortable and charming while the inkeepers were perfectly delightful. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the numerous wineries in the area. We will definitely be back!

Me and a girlfriend went for mommy time away, it was PERFECT!!
We didn't care that it was raining or cold. The real wood burning fireplace was great, the secluded cabin was great, the people were great!!
I will definitely go back. This was my first experience w/ a B&B. I've seen all kinds of advertising for couples, so I was skittish about booking. But they should REALLY think about marketing directly to parents, especially single ones like me. What a great way to re-energize! We did nothing but take naps, sleep in, eat junk food, pamper ourselves, watch free movies, and read. I'm a fan for life!! Thanks Jen!

As always, the cabin was outstanding. We have staid in a different one every time we have gone, and each one has been unique but just as enjoyable as the others. We always have a perfect time. The atmosphere is incredible, the food is outstanding, and we always hate to leave. We are always anticipating our next stay.

This was a great first time expierence. My husband and I had never stayed at a B and B and we were wonderfully surprised. The room, hospitality, and food were excellent. The privacy that we found here was great and we are already planning a return trip.

the handmade amish bed in cabin 4 and the tub was fantastic ,watching the deers in the innkeepers yard was fun.
the breakfast that Cathy made each morning was fit for a king and the service was great, we had everything we needed .
from the moment we got there Jennifer and Will made us at home , and Clay reminded us of our grandson. Beautiful and peaceful area!

The innkeeper "Jennifer" was very nice and very helpful an absolute pleasure to talk too! We stayed in Cabin #3 the weekend of 1/30/09 to 2/1/09 and throughly enjoyed ourselves. The Cabin was cozy and warm even though it was extremely cold that weekend. The fireplace and jacuzzi tube was a added bonus to the already neat and unique little tobacco cabin. We loved the secludedness of the cabin from the rest of the inn which allowed us to just getaway from everything and enjoy the time with each other. It was a great getaway from our normal everyday weekend of work and stress. We loved the fact the Pilot Mountain state park was just a hop skip and a jump up the road from the Inn. Well within walking distance with lots of wildlife to see and hiking with great scenic views. We throughly enjoyed the Drive Inn Movie Theater as well in Mt. Airy. That was a great throw back to the old days at a great price. Overall we recommend this Inn to anyone who loves the Mountains and Foothills, and would love to have a little romantic getaway with local attractions all within a short driving distance. I have already directed many of our freinds to the Pilot Knob Inn already for their next weekend trip. We would just like to see a big THANK YOU! to Jennifer for her kindness and help. We loved your Inn and will be back very soon!

Truley a unique place to stay. 100 to 200 year old tobacco barns have been refurbished into cabins, along with suites available in the main building. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay.

This Inn was fabulous! We stayed in one of the cabins and had the best time relaxing in front of the fireplace, and walking the property. The Innkeepers were so kind and very well organized. I would highly recommend this Inn for anyone looking for a peaceful, romantic getaway.

One of our daughters found Pilot Knob Inn for us on the internet when we were looking for a place to go for our 20th anniversary. We had a wonderful weekend! My husband and I loved it! Jennifer and Kathy made us feel welcome and "at home". The cabin was so cozy and comfortable! The breakfast was delicious! We will definitely go back! Hopefully soon! Pilot Knob Inn was fantastic! We love rustic and woodland cabins and this inn was perfect. The charm, the cozy atmosphere, the comfort, and the romanticism exceeding all expectations. The extraordinary feature of the cabin and the whole experience was the two person jacuzzi. What a beautiful bathroom with all the comforts imaginable including the decor, more than enough soft towels, two person shower and very clean. We have been to the Pilot Knob Inn 3 or 4 times since 2001. Each time we go it's like our first, i always worry that it won't be as good as the last time, But it always is. We have stayed in the Pilot Knob Suite each time because it has a Hot tub under the stars. It has rained on us and it has been below freezing before; you would think that that would ruin the stay but it has only added to it. We have had a chance thanks to the staff to look at all the suites and cabins and one day we plan to stay in a different one there. All of the rooms have privacy and it's own romantic feel. The owers are very personal and respectfull of your time with them. The Suite we stayed in was clean and welcoming. The Hot Tub is clean and exactly what you expect. if you over heat it with the temp. controls on the tub. There is a waterhose outside to help control it, a added touch is that the Tub has colored lights in it and you can set it to change colors or you can pick a color. I could write about this place forever, but my husband says people might not read it if it is too long. And we want everyone to give this place a chance. Thanks Crystal and Jay.

This was the best romantic getaway we could have picked we fell in love with our suite The Pilot Knob Suite with the private Hottub it was exceptional. The food was wonderful and the staff went above and beyond to accomodate us in every way. The entire stay was great and met and surpassed our expectations.

We have stayed at the Pilot Knob Inn three different times each time only gets better. Everything is always wonderful there isn't a better place to unwind and have a romantic evening it is always quiet & clean. Mandy Jennings

The Pilot Knob Inn greatly exceeded my expectations the cabin was exceptionally clean and well maintained the staff was super friendly and the grounds were beautiful. Not to mention they have a lake that has boats & fishing absolutely free and a breakfast to die for!!
