Welcome to the Historic Buffalo Tavern Bed and Breakfast located in the heart of the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. The B&B offers three delightful guest rooms (Governor's, Flapper's, and Madams's) and the beautiful President's Suite, all with a Queen size bed, private bath with shower, electric fireplace,two-person claw foot soaking tub, wireless Internet, and satellite TV. The Suite offers a four-poster antique bed, kitchenette,extra large bathroom with two person tub/shower, and lots of romance.
The expansive front porch beckons guests to sit for a while and watch birds playing in the trees, or spending time looking at Bluff Mountain, or reading a favorite book, or just doing nothing at all. There is a porch on the second floor that overlooks the mountains!
This historic accommodation is a short drive to the downtown West Jefferson Arts District; area attractions include historic Todd and Glendale Springs, and a scenic 30 minute drive to Boone and Blowing Rock. There are numerous attractions: hiking, biking, canoeing, West Jefferson Arts District, fine dining restaurants, antique shops, The Fresco Paintings and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

A delicious full breakfast is served in the Americana Dining Room each morning. During cold mornings, the fireplace is lit. During warm weather, breakfast may be served on the front porch. The Americana Dining Room is also open during the day and evening for guests to visit, play cards and board games, or just sit and have some freshly-brewed coffee. Complimentary soft and hot drinks are available with light snacks during early morning and in the afternoon each day. Guests have access to their own refrigerator in the common area.

Check-In 4:00PM – 7:00PM If guests are planning on being any later, Doc, the Innkeeper, asks that they call him by 5:30PM to let him know. Please note that Buffalo Tavern does NOT have a 24 hour desk.

Cancellation Policy:
|
|
Without exception, a 14 day notice is required to cancel a reservation. The cancellation must be received by phone, fax, or email within these timeframes.
THE GUEST IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DAYS RESERVED.
Shortened stays also require a 14 day notice.
"NO-SHOWS" WILL FORFEIT THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE STAY. Should the room be resold for the exact dates cancelled, the cancellation charge is waived.

Deposit Policy:
|
|
A valid Mastercard or Visa is required for guaranteeing a reservation. A personal check for the full amount and received within 5 days of reserving if more than three weeks before the guest arrives is accepted. Applicable city and state taxes are not included in published rates. The charge card is charged the full balance, including taxes, three (3) days before guest's arrival. Guests will be charged for their reserved stay, regardless of their actual days stayed.
