Historic Lodging
Ed and Sooki Kirkpatrick, who bought the inn in 1994, have added three new suites and extra amenities ensuring every modern comfort to this Historical Bed & Breakfast, but retained the homey touches. Enjoy rest and relaxation on the grand porch with rocking chairs and swings overlooking the picturesque tree lined street.

In the parlor every evening you are invited for a complimentary social hour with the friendly conversation, warmth and hospitality. Port and Sherry is available at bedtime.

In the morning you awaken to tantalizing aromas from the kitchen. Breakfast is a time for socializing in the dining room, where the Kirkpatricks lay out a different hot dish on the Empire sideboard each day: baked stuffed french toast; apple, bacon and cheddar quiche; or cheese strata, plus fruit, homemade granola, and homemade coffee cake. There's also juice, fresh ground coffee and an assortment of teas.

Luxurious Living Room
The inn offers a beautifully appointed living room for guests to gather. The Living Room has plenty of space for relaxing and reading a book or enjoying stimulating conversation with other guests while beautiful music is playing in the background.

New Bern Romantic Lodging
An antique lover's dream. This is a very popular, large corner room which has soft blue carpet and four large windows with blinds and swags which are in a blue colored flower pattern. The dimensions of the room are 20 x 18 feet plus the spacious bathroom. There are two comfortable sitting chairs with a Martha Washington sewing table in the middle. An antique dresser in the corner is suitable for storing your clothing and other travel items.

Four poster Queen Sized Bed - this comfortable mid-sized room which is 15 x 15 1/2 feet has dark green carpeting and green twill colored walls. There is also a wallpaper border just above the custom wainscoting. There are two windows with blinds. The room's two sitting chairs are in front of the decorative fireplace. The bathroom is large. For our guest's convenience, there is an open closet bar to store hanging clothes.

North Carolinas' Luxury Bed & Breakfast
Originally the innkeeper's quarters, this area of the inn was unused when we purchased the inn. We immediately made plans to convert this area into a suite. Using some creative carpentry, we added a new entrance to the room (the door into the room originally went through the kitchen). This is a two room corner suite which offers a living room with a Queen Sized pull-out sofa bed and a separate bedroom with Queen Sized Canopy Bed.

William And Emily Suite
After the enormous popularity of the Eliza Ellis Suite, we decided in 2000 to covert this room to a Jacuzzi suite as well. The bathroom is large and has the ever popular two person Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi tub also contains a shower head for guests who prefer to bathe under running water. This is a very popular and romantic suite and books up early.

Eliza Ellis Suite
The first couple of years we were here, we had countless calls from potential guests asking if we offered and suites with Jacuzzis. Although the Benjamin Ellis Suite was a very popular, spacious, and romantic suite, in 1998, we decided to add a jacuzzi to this upstairs room and convert the bed from two Twins to one King Sized Bed.
