The Harmony House Inn Bed and Breakfast is an 8,000 square foot, two-story home located in the heart of the historic district of New Bern, North Carolina. Today, New Bern remains a progressive city, but with much relating to her history can still be seen. AAA Rated Three Diamonds, the inn is the only one in New Bern that has Jacuzzi suites. All rooms have the same first-class amenities: Remote Controlled Color TV with cable, private telephones, two comfortable sitting chairs and a dresser and closet. All rooms have ceiling fans with lights and bathrooms are located in the room or suite.
The inn offers a beautifully appointed living room for guests to gather. The Living Room has plenty of space for relaxing and reading a book or enjoying stimulating conversation with other guests while beautiful music is playing in the background. Our Breakfast Room, located next to the Living Room, is decorated in a Colonial style and features a set of plates over the buffets which were originally part of the Ellis family's dining set.
The Harmony House Inn is conveniently located within walking distance to quaint shops, fine dining restaurants, many historic sites, highlighted by Tryon Palace and its formal gardens. The Kirkpatrick’s have brochures on local attractions and restaurants; many are within walking distance. Ed has also mapped out suggested bike routes for visitors. The inn has long been a favorite overnight stop for bike tours from all over the country.
