Great care is given to serving only the freshest foods that are garnished with edible herbs and flowers from the Inn*s own gardens. Weather permitting you can enjoy your breakfast communing with nature on our beautiful back deck and veranda.

Welcome To Our Parlor
Guest staying at The White Doe Inn have many options for enjoying their time at the inn. There is the parlor and the library, both of which offer a cozy fireplace for the cool off-season months. The library offers a large collection of books on the area and a collection of DVD's for those days when the weather isn't cooperating.

Virginia Dare Bedchamber
All bedchambers feature private baths, fireplaces, king or queen beds and are decorated with turn-of-the-century antiques, reproductions and special appointments that compliment each room's decor.

Garret Bedchamber Bath
The perfect place to relax and de-stress! Soak in a two-person whirlpool in front of a cozy fireplace while enjoying your choice of inn indulgences. Schedule an inn-room massage service to add the final touch!

East Lake Bedchamber
The East Lake Bedchamber is so named because of the Victorian East Lake style furnishings that were family pieces from special friends. To enrich these furnishings, gold damask wall coverings and rich green fabrics are used. A beautiful dogwood impression gold-leafed antique mirror over the fireplace reflects the warm glow of the room as you relax in the comfortable sitting area or on the queen size bed. The shared balcony overlooks the Inn's gardens and veranda.

Garden Bedchamber
The Garden Bedchamber looks out into a private garden area nestled under flowering Crape Myrtles, Dogwoods and flowering shrubs. A brick pathway leads to the garden providing an intimate area for relaxing. An elegant brass canopied king size bed and gas log fireplace provide just the right ambiance to refresh and stimulate your spirit. The large private bath features a two-person shower, with built-in seat, and a two-person six-foot cast iron whirlpool. Over the whirlpool, is a pair of beautiful matching antique stained glass windows.

Raleigh Bedchamber
The Raleigh Bedchamber is a genteel setting with warm antique pine furnishings featuring a high-poster cannonball bed. Teal, eggplant and gold paisley designer wallpaper with coordinating fabrics enhance the mood for reading by the fireplace or relaxing in the queen size bed. The room has comfortable seating in the bay window area and next to the fireplace. The shared balcony overlooks the Inn's gardens and veranda.

Roanoak Bedchamber
The Roanoak Bedchamber is located on the third floor providing the ultimate in privacy. Colors of warm blush and mocha are perfectly paired with luxurious silk fabrics. The massive king four poster bed is a retreat of its own, though a comfortable sitting area is situated to relax and enjoy the fireplace. The private bath has a large tiled shower with built in bench and massaging shower tower.

Scuppernong Bedchamber
The Scuppernong Bedchamber is reminiscent of the days when Muscadine grape vines with lush fruits trailed to the water’s edge on Roanoke Island. The décor reflects those rich, earthy, sun-kissed colors that nature christened this native vine. The nine-foot sloped ceilings accent the king size carved bed and cozy sitting area with fireplace. The room is best suited for two guests but can accommodate a third with a twin sleeper sofa.

Turret Bedchamber
The Turret Bedchamber truly reflects the beautiful architectural features of a by-gone era. The room includes the second floor of the turret which is located on the southwest corner of the house towering above its three floors. It catches the sunlight that cascades through the rounded glass windows making it one of the sunniest rooms in the Inn. Its whisper-soft, sea-blue wallpaper with delicate peach flowers and white furnishings create a relaxing and peaceful environment. The balcony overlooking the Inn's gardens is the perfect place to unwind.

Virginia Dare Bedchamber
As you enter the Virginia Dare Bedchamber, its romantic splendor is accented with deep red and purple roses on a soft creamy background wallpaper. Rich Mahogany furnishings featuring a queen high poster carved rice bed enhance the elegant wall coverings. The bedchamber has an inviting sitting and fireplace area accented with an exquisite antique wall relief that hangs over the turn-of-the-century French mantle.

Elegant Bathrooms
The bath features an antique claw-footed soaking tub with shower. Soak away the stresses of everyday life while enjoying the reflections of an exquisite antique jewel-like stain glass window.
