Welcome to The Waverly Inn Bed and Breakfast in Hendersonville, NC, near Asheville in the Western NC Blue Ridge Mountains. Personal service helps to set us apart, and being in the mountains helps to keep us there. Recently renovated and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Waverly Inn is Hendersonville's oldest inn. Cited in national publications such as The New York Times and Southern Living, The Waverly received high praise in Vogue Magazine for its "massive Southern breakfast" - a full breakfast that always includes fresh fruit, stone ground grits, eggs, cereal, French toast or pancakes, home made jams, preserves, fresh coffee, orange juice and much more.
At the Waverly Inn, we want to make everyone feel welcome and right at home. Experience Southern hospitality as it was meant to be during your Blue Ridge Mountain Vacation, Weekend Getaway, or Business Trip. We invite you to enjoy the simple pleasure of sitting in a rocking chair on our veranda where you can put the stress of everyday life out of your mind and watch the world go by. Four-poster beds, turn-of-the-century fittings, polished wood, and wide porches with rocking chairs are only part of the reason "Our Guests Become Our Friends" |

It was our first stay at the Waverly Inn and hope to return. Delish breakfasts, helpful and friendly staff and lovely furnishings throughout the inn. The other guest were friendly and engaging as well. Loved relaxing on the porch during the evening snacks as well as early morning reading- Anna and Jason

Hendersonville and The Waverly Inn was so neat to enjoy during our short stay. We can't say enough about how lucky we feel we were to get to stay here especially during the busy apple festival. John,Darlene and Darla are all so nice and the breakfast was wonderful as well as our "social time" on the porch. LOVED IT!!!

For almost two decades, the Waverly Inn has been our home away from home when we visit the Asheville Area. We are drawn by the warm, friendly, professional staff who feel like extended family. We value the clean, comfortable rooms and the proximity to downtown Hendersonville. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. On a daily basis a social hour is observed and Darla provides sweet treats (cakes, cookies) for guests' enjoyment. The huge Southern-style breakfast is always outstanding; It alone is worth the trip. We cherish the memories of our visits to the Waverly Inn whose hallmark is heartfelt hospitality.

I was in Hendersonville to vist my mother who had just come under hospice care. John was fantastic when I called to inquire about a room, and he proved to be an excellent chef and maitre d' as well. Diane and Darla were warm and extremely helpful and hospitable as well throughout my stay. My room (top floor) was very quiet, queen bed and two big windows faced the street and opened. All was just perfect. One nice feature (early spring) was that there was a slatted, additional door to the room (inside the solid, hallway door) so at night I could just close and lock that and there was a nice breeze created w/ the windows open. There was also an air conditioner in a third window (not needed by me). The breakfast was superb each day - local egg(s) cooked to order, and very attentive service - without being smotherly. I would highly recommend The Waverly Inn and will definitely stay there again.
