The Alexander Homestead Bed & Breakfast located in Charlotte, NC was built in 1903 and restored to its original glory in 2008. It is truly a classic example of Queen Anne Victorian architecture and the landmark is listed on the Department of the Interior’s register of historic places. Located on five beautifully wooded acres only minutes from uptown Charlotte, this delightful estate offers a refreshing new venue for your overnight stay. The home has that rare warmth and charm that only time can impart. The home's beautiful woodwork has the patina that only a century can bring and the ambiance is enhanced with the home’s eight operational fireplaces.

As you step through the front entryway, a great hall greets you with an intricate inglenook to one side, complete with fireplace. The parlor pocket doors run as smooth as silk, just as if they were hung yesterday. There are three large rooms on the main floor in addition to the butler’s pantry, country kitchen, bath and enclosed sun room. Upstairs you’ll find four oversized bedrooms, all comfortably furnished with period pieces and beautiful Victorian coal basket fireplaces. Each morning a full gourmet breakfast is served in the dining room. For private, romantic getaways consider the 1,300 square foot suite located in the adjacent carriage house. Robes and slippers are provided for overnight guests.

A $35.00 cancellation fee will be charged per room. Deposits are refundable when cancellations are made more than 30 days (90 days for National Holidays) prior to your arrival date. For cancellations within 30 days (90 days for National Holidays) of your arrival date you will be charged the total amount of your reserved stay. In these situations we will either reschedule your reservation for another date at no additional charge or give you a 100% voucher for a future stay.

What an amazing place! The Naysmiths are the most hospitable and warm couple. We wanted them to adopt us by the end of our trip! The food was immaculate, the house is indescribably beautiful and the ambiance is warm and peaceful. They have such a loving spirit and it fills every corner of the home. It's so clean and relaxing. We love it and we will be back! - The Jacksons

WOW! We recently enjoyed a visit at the Alexander Homestead and it was WONDERFUL. Stepping into the home it feels like you are taking a trip back in time. From the beautiful furniture to elegant decorating, it was all just gorgeous. The grounds were very beautiful as well. We especially enjoyed sitting on the beautiful wrap around porch at night, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The food was also just fabulous. The Naysmith’s really know how to make you feel special. We looked forward to each meal and always knew it would be delicious. We strongly recommend the NS Alexander House! We have stayed in many Bed and Breakfasts, and this was by far our favorite. We will be back again for sure!!!!
