The Folkestone Bed & Breakfast is located in a grove of giant Norway Spruces, beside a mountain brook, at the Deep Creek area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park... on the quieter, softer side of the Smokies. The Inn is just two miles north of Bryson City, a sleepy little mountain community which offers a wealth of natural scenery and outdoor activities.
There's an 18-hole mountain golf course nearby, and the Biltmore Estate and Winery is just a little over an hour away, in nearby Asheville. There's hiking, waterfalls, trout fishing and horseback riding in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, mountain biking on the famous Tsali trails, fishing on Fontana Lake, sightseeing on the Great Smoky Mountains Scenic Railroad and whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, just a 25-minute drive from the Inn.
